ExpertBook P3 vs Vivobook 15 which would you choose?

I’m looking at two ASUS laptops and can get both in roughly the ₹60–65k range through EMI:

ASUS ExpertBook P3

Core Ultra 5 225H

16GB RAM / 512GB SSD

14" display

~1.52 kg

Intel Arc 130T iGPU

₹3,847 × 18 months (~₹69.2k total)

ASUS Vivobook 15

Ryzen 7 170

16GB RAM / 512GB SSD

15.6" display

1.7 kg

₹3,683 × 18 months (~₹66.3k total)

My main uses would be university work, browsing, movies, programming/general productivity, and some older/lighter gaming (GTA V, GTA IV, Sleeping Dogs, Prototype 2, etc.).

The Vivobook is about ₹3k cheaper and has the larger 15.6" screen, but the ExpertBook has the stronger overall platform and better iGPU on paper.

Which one would you pick and why? Also, if anyone owns either of these models, I'd really appreciate feedback on build quality, thermals, display, battery life and real-world gaming performance.

Is the ASUS Vivobook 15 (Ryzen 7 170) worth it at ₹61k?

I'm getting this ASUS Vivobook 15 (2026) with Ryzen 7 170, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD for around ₹61,000.

I'll mainly use it for college/university work, browsing, MS Office, programming, media consumption and some light gaming (GTA V, Minecraft, older games, etc.).

Is this a good deal at ₹61k, or should I look for something better?

Also, if anyone owns this particular model, how's your experience with it? Especially performance, thermals, battery life and build quality.

Thanks!

₹50k budget Should I buy a new laptop or go for a 2nd-hand/refurbished one? What would be the best option for me?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to buy a laptop and my maximum budget is around ₹50,000. I'm confused about whether I should buy a brand-new laptop or get a good 2nd-hand/refurbished business laptop for the same money.

My usage would be:

- College/university work, studying, browsing, PDFs, MS Office, etc.

- General everyday use

- Some light/moderate gaming

- I'd also like the laptop to last me for several years, so build quality, thermals, reliability and upgradeability matter to me.

I've previously looked at some used/refurbished ThinkPads, Dells, etc., as well as newer laptops around the ₹40–50k range, but I'm still unsure which route makes more sense.

So what would you guys recommend with ₹50k?

  1. Buy a new laptop with a newer CPU but probably weaker integrated graphics?

  2. Buy a 2nd-hand/refurbished business laptop with a better CPU/build quality and possibly dedicated graphics?

  3. Look for a new gaming laptop on sale?

  4. Or is there another option I'm overlooking?

If you were in my position, what would you buy with ₹50k and why?

Also, if recommending a used/refurbished laptop, please mention which models/generations are actually worth looking for and what I should check before buying one.

Thanks!

Best trusted shops for used laptops in Nehru Place? Budget ₹20–22k

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to buy a used/refurbished laptop from Nehru Place with a budget of around ₹20–22k. My primary usage will be studying, making presentations, browsing, YouTube, and some light gaming (nothing too demanding).

Since I've heard there are both genuine and shady sellers in Nehru Place, I'd appreciate recommendations for shops you've personally had a good experience with. A short warranty and decent after-sales support would be a plus.

Also, what specs should I realistically expect in this budget? Would an 8th-gen i5 with 8GB RAM and an SSD be possible?

Any shops to avoid or tips for checking a used laptop before buying are welcome.

I've been seeing someone for 3 months, but she still goes on dates with other people. Am I unreasonable for struggling with that?

I (25M) have been talking to a woman (23F) for about 3 months. We met through a dating app and have met in person around 7-8 times.

Over these months, the connection has felt genuine. We both initiate conversations and meetups roughly equally, she seems excited when we meet, and the dynamic has become much more comfortable and playful compared to when we first started talking. There has also been flirting and romantic interest from both sides.

I'm the type of person who naturally focuses on one person once I genuinely start liking them. Early on, I deleted my dating apps because I wasn't interested in talking to multiple people simultaneously. She told me she had deleted hers as well, although she also said she wouldn't mind if I dated other women because we weren't in a relationship.

Recently, I found out that she has been going on dates with other people. Looking back, there were a few instances where she was vague about where she was going or who she was meeting, and she recently mentioned an outing that she said I could "call a date."

This hit me pretty hard.

The thing is, if someone had told me from the beginning that they planned to keep dating other people while figuring things out, I probably wouldn't have pursued the connection. For me, after 7-8 meetups and 3 months of consistently getting to know someone, I would naturally expect both people to be focusing more on each other if there was genuine romantic potential.

On the other hand, she has told me before that she likes becoming friends with someone before developing romantic feelings and that she has blocked previous matches because they tried to rush relationships too quickly. So I'm trying to understand whether this is simply a slower dating style than mine or a sign that we're fundamentally looking for different things.

What makes this difficult is that I don't think I can handle indefinite non-exclusive dating. If I genuinely like someone, I become emotionally invested and don't really have the desire to keep exploring other options.

A few questions:

After 3 months and 7-8 meetups, is it reasonable to ask for clarity about where this is heading?

Where do you personally draw the line between "moving slowly" and "keeping someone as an option"?

If someone says they like you and see potential but still wants to continue dating other people, would you consider that a compatibility issue rather than either person being wrong?

For people who prefer friendship before romance, what does that usually look like in practice? Do you eventually start focusing on one person before a relationship, or do you keep dating others until you're completely sure?

I'd appreciate perspectives from both sides, especially from people who prefer slow-burn relationships or have been in a similar situation.

I've (M25) been seeing someone (F23) for 3 months, but she still goes on dates with other people. Am I unreasonable for struggling with that?

I (25M) have been talking to a woman (23F) for around 3 months. We met on a dating app and have met in person around 7-8 times so far.

Over time I became pretty attached to her. I'm the kind of person who naturally focuses on one person when I genuinely like them. Early on I deleted my dating apps because I wasn't interested in talking to multiple people at once. She told me she had deleted hers too, although she also said she wouldn't mind if I dated other women because we weren't in a relationship.

The connection felt good overall. We talked regularly, shared personal things, met multiple times, and recently had a really nice meeting after a period where I felt she had become more distant over text.

The issue is that I recently found out she has been going on dates with other people. She didn't explicitly hide it, but she also never really volunteered that information. Looking back, there were times she seemed vague about where she was going or who she was meeting. Recently she mentioned an outing and clarified herself that I could "call it a date."

The thing is, I don't think I can handle non-exclusive dating emotionally. Once I genuinely like someone, I don't really have the desire or emotional bandwidth to keep exploring other options. Knowing that the person I'm getting attached to is also dating other people makes me anxious and honestly hurts quite a lot.

At the same time, she has told me before that she prefers becoming friends with someone before developing romantic feelings and that she has blocked previous matches who tried to push for a relationship too quickly. So I don't know if this is simply her slower approach to dating versus my faster emotional attachment.

My questions are:

  1. After 3 months and 7-8 dates/meetups, is it reasonable to want clarity about whether we're building toward something more serious?

  2. Is it fair for me to say that non-exclusive dating doesn't work for me emotionally?

  3. If she says she likes me but still wants to continue dating other people while figuring things out, would that be a sign that we're simply incompatible in dating style rather than either person being wrong?

I'd appreciate honest opinions, especially from people who have been on either side of a situation like this.
