How many of you are thinking of giving GATE AND CAT and going to iit and iim like almost seriously not like 11 th graders thinking of going to iitb cse with absolutely doing nothing

What are your reason for it if you are already in a pretty good college

How many hours of classes do you people have per week and how many lab hours in it

I got 97%ile(obc) i joined a iiit in cse branch I already know this won't be good but I never expected it to be this worse

Academics:

Worst faculty they can't even speak school level English and nothing to say about their teaching trash they are even not taking doubts like what the fu** when we call them first they don't respond even if they respond they won't answer the doubt properly they clearly don't know anything

Hostels and campus location:

As expected in the middle of nowhere no signals nothing when we asked about the wifi in hostels because that the basic necessity they literally said why we needed wifi for like fu** them without internet what will a engineering students especially an cse student will do they said change your sim we are not going to provide wife and also said use Ethernet

So first both jio and airtel doesn't work in hostels

Ethernet speed is like 50 mbps max and we were given 2 seater room for 3 people so only 2 tables 2 Ethernet ports( only way for internet) and 3 people so we have to share them a lot of other issues in hostels no water even to flush( literally not exaggerated) no lights at stairs no lift campus is 10 km away form a tier 4 town were you find absolutely nothing only form of purchase is Amazon ( no other apps)

So I just wanted to ask should I take another drop realistically if I get 99%ile can I expect better situation in that colleges like better hostels faculty people internet

Honestly thinking of should have taken vit Or sem atleast they have better hostels and fests and definitely better people( I meant better behavior not meritorious)

Gandhi hostel :

1. Some double sharing rooms feel like they just fitted two tables and two beds in a single-type room. Fortunately I got a single room.

2. There is only one water cooler one on floor, you will have to walk the whole way to that to get water. An additional water cooler can be installed on the diagonally opposite end near washroom there are plug sockets available.

3. The condition of the badminton court and volleyball court. The badminton court is still in its last stage of life but the volleyball court looks like a half completed project. At least plant bricks with their tops on ground level to indicate boundaries.

There is another hostel connected to Gandhi it and they have decent courts so I believe its possible here as well.

4. The common room is almost empty with only two foosball tables, one of them is broken. Meanwhile other hostels have TT tables. Fresher hostel has air hockey.

5. Clean your rooms on your own. This is a minor inconvenience. Also any claim to improve this can be easily refuted saying the workers can take things from you room we don't want that. So I'll leave it here.

Bro how fking costly is that place. Nailcutter 74 rupees, that's fking loot. If you go to that barcode scanner general store (I can't remember the name exactly) you can find cloth hanging clips with MRP 60/- mentioned inside the card and 80/- manually written on the plastic cover with a marker. Pathetic daylight robbery. Everything is costly if you are at BPHC you know it.

People say use blinkit but half the time its unavailable due to high demand. BigBasket has only 2 slots in a day.

SAC:
This one hurts the most because I didn't expect it to be this pathetic.

1.Only fans no ACs. Cue sports room doesn't have a single functioning cue stick.

2. No provision to issue basic version sports equipment. Idk if the students here are aware or not but in the world outside BPHC you can submit your ID to issue a basic bats/cue sticks/rackets etc and return them to get back your ID card after you are done playing. Its a fking engineering college bro not everyone wants to carry a whole a$$ kit to casually play something. Not everyone has advanced rackets and customized gutting to play world finals, let us play just for the fun of it bro.

I used to think my BTech college is bad because there are no >9 lpa on campus opportunities there, but there was AC in badminton court and TT room, you could issue basic bats and balls. Now I am living in an opposite reality where the fee is double, placements might be better, and the amenities are sh@tty.

Senior what the percentage of droppers here and will there be any issue for droppers in hostels

Will it be difficult to adjust

Do they have to bring all hostel essential mattress and all from outside

What are the concerning things for them
