Any astrophysicists here?

Hello, my players wants to play both Witherwilds (a day is equal to earth's week) and Andaluria (day and night is roughly the same as on the earth, but nights keep getting progressively longer year by year).

Is it possible to place both regions on the same planet keeping the physics intact?

If not I will come up with some 'magic' explanation, but it would be so extremely cool to have it astrophysically correct and describe what people form both regions see in the sky.

I was thinking about maybe very short year (14 days) or different shape of the planet (a torus maybe) or more suns. But I'm just to weak scientifically to make it work.

Avowed is Kingdom of Amalur succesor

For me, from past games, the one that is closest to Avowed is Kingdom of Amalur. It's really strange for me that people put Skyrim as sth similar to it.

Do You guys have other games that seem closest to what Avowed is, than those it is usually compared to?

(sub)Class fixing items

Hi guys, I'm looking for ideas on items, be that weapons, armor, trinkets or whatever that can 'fix' weaker class issues. I'm mostly interested in fixes for 5e (2014)

- rogue in general (mainly lack of damage)

- soul knife (soul blades scaling badly)

- sorcerer (worse wizards)

- monks

- rangers

- champion fighter

But all weaker subclasses are on my radar.

I'd like to give my players some items that would buff the weaker sides of their characters, so they may feel equally viialable as paladins or wizards. I'd like those items to be simple and elegant, and also be thematic for

For rogues f.e I was thinking of a

- Pin of a Bastard that increases sneak attack die to d8 at lvl 5 and d10 at lvl 11.

- Thorn Buckler - small shield with a hidden blade in it. usable only by rogues. Providing +1AC and ability to attack with it for d4 dmg. And also to parry on being missed by an attack.

Maybe you did invent similar items ? Do you have some mechanical quickfixes for weaker classes in mind? I'd appreciate every and any idea.
