Had the bike for a bit more than two years now, crashed last November, restored it to basically new condition. Absolutely love the look, the sound, the way it rides. Got new tyres few days after these photos were taken which absolutely transformed it.

It has returned better than ever 🖤

I had a crash in late November last year, wet road, cold weather, you know the rest... I was pretty much fine, with right shoulder injury - dislocated clavicle.

Bike was sitting covered in mud and dirt in the garage until March, two months ago when we finally got nicer weather (eastern Europe) and I started disassembling what's left of the bike. Both engine covers on the right side were cracked. Tank was dented, radiator leaking, headlight and front fairing broken, handlebar bent with brake lever and reservoir damaged, rear under seat fairing cracked, exhaust damaged, right foot peg missing, rear brake lever bent, etc...

Little by little, after work and on weekends I worked on changing broken parts, fixing what could be fixed, etc. I got new front fairing made out of fiberglass, as well as those two covers on each side of the tank. I painted those myself, as well as the chain guard and those covers from the airbox and side covers under the seat in matte black. Yeah, radiator as well.

Rest of the parts was taken to the paint shop where they fixed the rear fairing and did some magic on the tank, it looks like new.

I also got the Android Auto/Carplay device for navigation, heated grips, and blinkers from newer Yamaha models for which I 3D printed new mounts.

The only thing left to mount are the carbs which are in the shop, waiting for the rebuild. Hopefully I'll have them tomorrow!

The color I chose is from Lexus IS200 which I own, dark grey metallic, it looks absolutely stunning in the sunlight.
