Rained after I pollinated

I pollinated one of my outdoor plants today. For a second I thought about leaving her in the shed for a day but decided against that idea. 5 hours later, rain storm.

I know the pollen I used was good because i used some a few months ago, successfully.

Is the rain gonna prevent pollination?

Are your plants fading at the end

With those nice autumn colors? Or is that much more common in salt grows since they can control the amount of nutrients with more precision?

2 lights into one timer

This timer has plugs on each side. I have 2 options. Both lights into this timer with the timer straight into the wall. Or, 1 light into the timer (to the wall) and the other light into a timer into a surge protection/extension cord.

Edit: LEDs are 100w and 150w. Either will be turned up past 70%

Swapping lights early flower

I'm on day 13 flower and looking to swap my 100w mars hydro for a 150w mars hydro. 3x2x6 tent with 1 plant. Both "full spectrum" lights.

Should I do this or hold off?. If the yield will be just a little less that's cool, we will be ok.

And if it's ok, any pointers besides try to match the intensity. The 100w is at like 65%....just go 50% on the 150w and 6 inches further from plant and slowly raise the intensity?

Mental health resources without paper trail

Veteran here 2001-2009. 2 deployments to Iraq, heavy mortar and missile attacks and experienced a few other traumatic events after military service. Quit drinking 6 years ago and while things have gotten better I feel like my mental health has gotten worse.

Hyperarousal never stops, I always feel like I'm "scanning" for the WORST case scenario- ALL THE TIME. When I'm away from my family I can't stop thinking that a traumatic event will happen. Exhausted and fatigued, it's tough to experience happiness which is depressing since I'm married with 2 children. Emotionally numb and difficulty processing my emotions. Basically I have many symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression.

Here is the kicker. I'm in an aviation career field where diagnosis are career altering. We don't talk about these things because you literally can't do the job if on meds or if you carry the diagnosis.

Looking for resources without the paper trail.

Please and thanks.

First pollen chuck appears successful

44 days from pollination. How many days should I wait until I germinate? 2 days to dry out good enough?

Am I close to craft

Based on these pics, am I getting close to craft quality? This is my 4th run so I still learning

10u softball run limit and pitch count

All star tournament so there is no 5 run limit (per inning) rule. Which I can understand but I feel like it can result in high and sometimes very high pitch counts.

I hate to see young girls throw 40+ pitches in an inning. Games of 140+ not including warm ups.

For the teams that are very light on pitching with really bad defenses it's not uncommon to see scores resembling high scoring football games.

I feel like there needs to be a happy medium.

On the boys side there is an actual pitch limit (70-85 pitches per day) the girls have an innings limit of 12 innings per day!!

Burnt tips

On day 46, is this concerning? I'm in an earthbox. No more feeding, just water down the tube.

Tang with beat up fins

Fins looking beat up. Tank mates are 1 clown, 2 Springeri damsel, 1 sideline, and 1 dottyback in a 120 gallon.

All fish have been together 2 years. And I haven't noticed any aggression.

I have another 40 gallon reef with 1 clown, 1 yellow goby watchman, and a small tomini tang. Thinking about moving fish around and having both tangs, both clowns, and the watchman in the 120 and the rest in the 40.

When should I start seeing seeds

Pic 1 is right before I selectively pollinated. Pic 2 is 3 days after. And pic 3 is 12 days after pollination. First time chucker. Just having fun

Estimate on seeds

First time chucker, I selectively pollinated 3 bud sites a few days ago. I see a change in pistol color so it looks like she probably produce some seeds. Rough estimate but how many seeds do you think the pictured bud could produce?

10?

u/Capt_reefr — 3 months ago

Can she receive right now

I read you need 6 weeks for the seeds to mature. She on day 16 and she will probably go till day 66. But, is she mature enough to get pollinated right now? Or wait 4-5 days?

Potting soil recommendations

Need to fill these earthboxes and considering a bagged potting soil like happy frog vs promix HP. Already plenty of dry nutrients to add. But I don't have extra perlite.

Will the promix HP have enough aeration? Because a bale of promix will save me $$ versus 3 bags of happy frog.

If anyone has any other recommendations I would be happy to hear them.

First timer chucker with frozen pollen

Got some frozen pollen I collected, going to selectively pollinate a few females in the upcoming days. Understand the pollen needs to rest at room temp before I open up the package. Then I will pollinate a few selective branches. Can I just keep the rest of the pollen at room temp and hit those branches again in a few days???

I imagine once you "dethaw" the pollen you can't really refreeze it? Is that correct?

Pollinating affect on flower quality

I plan to selectively pollinate only a few sites. Will this have any noticeable affect on overall quality? I smoked a bunch of seeded weed back in 90s so I definitely realize it will obviously contain THC....just curious if one could tell any difference between a (the same clone, different pot) plant that has zero pollinating vs one with pollination at a few sites.

I will be pollinating a few sites off each plant in the above picture at day 19/20. Currently on day 7.
