So here's the thing. I spend my days trying to outsmart cancer at the molecular and cellular level, which sounds impressive until you realize I come home, pour a glass of wine I made myself (quality varies, just like my day), and watch documentaries about serial killers and/or cartoons. Make it make sense.

I'm Kay, 43, on the US East Coast, and apparently at a stage in life where making new friends requires posting on Reddit (multiple times, until you find some that you vibe with). Truly living the dream.

When I'm not doing science things, I'm cooking, hiking, reading sci-fi and thrillers, rewatching LOTR/Star Wars/Star Trek for the hundredth time, or deep in a Wikipedia rabbit hole that started innocently and ended somewhere completely unhinged (I even have a folder in my AI chatbot for "Random Shower Thoughts").
