Does disliking being belittled or mocked abilities mean you’re a HSP?

I told a friend: "I sent someone a photo of a model kit that needed simple assembling, and he replied 'Surely your hands aren’t so clumsy that you can’t even put this together?' It made me feel a bit uncomfortable."
The friend: "Hmmm You must be a highly sensitive person."

Do your parents think they know your personalities or feelings very well?

My dad often says things like "Don’t be so frugal when you’re on your own", "Don’t feel guilty about spending money", "Don’t be shy about telling us if you’re having any problems"…
But the truth is, I’m not frugal. I just spend my money wisely, and I certainly don’t feel guilty or hesitate to spend. The fact that I prefer to sort things out on my own is simply a matter of personal habit and preference, not because I’m embarrassed or shy.
Perhaps it’s because I come across as "very sensible" in front of him. I always feel that my dad has very fixed ideas and misunderstandings about me. He likes to make assumptions about my feelings or behaviors which are always wrong.
When I was young, he used to buy me things he thought I’d like or need, even though I didn’t actually need them at all.

DAE hate being told they need to stay productive rather than rest?

I dislike the term ‘Highly Sensitive People’.

Because there are many articles online that elevate personal opinions to the status of absolute truths and impose them on all highly sensitive people, or that draw definitive conclusions about their lives.

As if HSPs cannot simply exist as they are, but must conform to external standards.

For example, I often come across articles that contain phrases such as: "What HSPs lack is not rest or alone time, but to express or being productive", "Resting is useless for HSP", "The ONLY way can help HSP is keep productive"…

Admittedly, being productive is good.

However, those articles often contain a great deal of absolutist language.

It’s as though you’ll be doomed if you stop being productive or expressing; as though rest is a MISTAKE for HSP.

For someone like me, who has long struggled with the guilt of resting, these articles undoubtedly make me feel even more that I don't deserve to rest :/

I think my rest anxiety is more likely to be related to CPTSD so I posted here. Apologies if I miss the right place.

Sorry for bad English.

DAE doesn't have any "expressive hobbies"?

When I say "expressive hobbies", I mean writing, painting, cooking, singing, crafting, or any form of creative activity.

NOT include reading, listening to music, watching videos & movies, gaming, exercising, social activities, etc.

(⬆️ I read an article that categorised hobbies in this way.)

Then I guess my only 'expressive hobby' is talking to myself… If you can call it that ^^;
