My daughter is 12 weeks old. I started back to work three weeks ago. She is EBF but we were giving her occasional bottles so she wouldn’t be shocked by the bottle when starting daycare.
Long story short, she did okay with her babysitter at first but things slowly progressed to me having to pick her up early because she was constantly crying and hardly ate. On Monday, she screamed all morning and refused her bottle altogether. Her babysitter said she can’t continue watching her for now since she has other kids to watch and since it has been 3 weeks, baby should be starting to adjust by now (no shade to our babysitter, she has been great with my older daughter and is a good human).
I’m a teacher so am just going to take the rest of the school year off heading into summer. I was thinking of sending my baby there for some half days just so she stays in the rhythm of getting out of the house but her babysitter is insisting that she will need to take a bottle and said I will have to come pick her up if she continuously screams. I get it, I’m just not sure what the right thing to do is. Bay is going to have to be back in daycare full time in August when I go back to work.
TL,DR: 3 month old is constantly screaming and not taking a bottle at daycare after 3 weeks. Babysitter said she cannot come back until she takes a bottle and if she constantly screams I will have to come pick her up. Baby will take a bottle at home and has a generally good temperament.
