ITPS to USA stuck in transit for over 1.5 months, Can I claim a refund?

I sent a simple Rakhi thread to the USA via International Tracked Packet Service (ITPS) on August 17. It has been over 1.5 months, and the status is still stuck on "In Transit".

According to the tracking portal, the last update was on August 23, showing "Handed over to Airport facility by Airlines" at Zurich (CHZRH) for flight LX0014 to JFK. There have been no scans or updates since.

I asked my local post office, but they just told me to wait. Last year, I sent it via ordinary post (~₹100) and it never reached, which is why I tried ITPS this time (paid ₹472).

Finished 1st Year How should I use my summer break?

Hi seniors,

I have just completed my 1st year and have summer break. I want to use this time productively and build skills that will help with future internships and placements.

My current coding and development experience is fairly basic, and I'm confused about what to prioritize. Some options I'm considering are:

  • DSA and competitive programming
  • Web development
  • Machine Learning / AI
  • Systems programming
  • Open source contributions
  • Research-oriented work

If you were in my position again, how would you spend the summer?

Could you please suggest:

  1. The most important skills/topics to learn after 1st year.
  2. Any courses, books, or resources that helped you.
  3. Whether I should focus on DSA first or start building projects.
  4. Mistakes to avoid during the summer.
  5. What skills are most useful for internships and placements

Would appreciate any roadmap or advice from seniors who have already gone through internships/placements.

Thanks!
