I lost service while listening to SiriusXM today while in broad daylight with no overhead coverage of any kind. It seemed like what I was experiencing was a cellular loss, which leads me to this:
Does the R1S, specifically my 22 LE, have actual satellite radio or does it just have the app via cellular?
I hope I’m not missing something obvious, but I promise I’ve tried!
Do I really have to allow this Every. Single. Time. I start the car??
There is a lot I like about this car, but the user interface is ABYSMAL!
Pretty new to R1S and don’t charge publicly very much, but the r/ChargerDrama sub makes me nervous about idiots blocking chargers.
Do any of you have an extension cord or something that lets you get cables out from behind idiots or is this just a problem that isn’t really a problem?
Just bought my R1S and I want to cover the back for multiple reasons including dogs, hauling, etc.
I’ve seen mixed reviews of the attachment system for the canvasback set (10-piece, not 1) and I’m curious if any of you have specific long-term experience with it?
Any better solutions than the sticky velcro pieces?

First of all, yes I’ve read through old posts so please don’t flame me for searching, I have and my questions come from that reading.
I’ve decided I want an R1S. Thinking dual motor and standard battery unless someone has some major reason to do otherwise. I don’t drive much and trips over 100 miles are extremely rare for my family.
I’m having to ask these questions because I can’t find info readily available on what to look for, especially since Rivian VINs don’t really translate to build sheets.
Here’s my questions for discussion, please:
1: do they all come with the tow package features or is that an add-on? I tow frequently, though always locally, so this is a must.
2: do they all come with the 1100 or 1200 watt sound system? I’m a music hound.
3: is the Gen 2 significantly better than the Gen 1 so much that it’s worth the 7-10k difference? I’m not so concerned about the money as I am about getting something for it.
3.5: I’ve seen that the Gen 2 can be a little rough on suspension despite the “improvements” made. Is this true if I stick with the 20” wheels so there’s more rubber on the road for padding?
4: anything else I’m missing that I should know that will drive me to 2024 vs 2025?
I don’t want to go older than 2024 just to make sure that I have plenty of warranty left.

A90/2020 GR 3.0 Premium: With 3D printing/design so readily available these days, has anyone made an attempt to upgrade the wireless charger and usb port to one that has adequate power for current phones?
Am I the only one this annoys? I just don’t like having to keep a high wattage power plug and cord in the car all the time.
