Five towers merch question?

edit: typos
I feel like i need to write a little tldr(?) before anything else:

- Yes, i know that there are a lot of scam/fakes of original merch on Aliexpress.

- I also know that if you look hard enough you can find trusted buyers for original merch (rare but very possible).

- This is my first ever "official" merch so i'm not sure how to spot any "signs".

This aside...

I know more trusted shop to buy would've been Zenmarket, but A- they don't deliver to my country, and B - Third-party delivery service usually cost twice/thrice as much, for which i didn't had money at the time, so Aliexpress is my usual choice.

So, is there anyone who knows about general quality of the merch tell me, if i got a legit piece or a fake one?

What i'm concerned with:

- General quality of the art used - it looks quite grainy and like... 720p?

- White border along the edges of art - usually it happens while copy-pasting and resizing originally high quality art, so, yeah...

- I have the keychain too and i has the same flaws, different seller though.

- Maybe it's normal for acrylic stands to have this quality??? It's not like they're made to be looked at this close on the everyday basis.

No matter the answer i will cherish it as my first ever merch and it's not like i have a lot of options of getting the original merch regardless. Can someone enlighten me?

Thanks!

Small QOL to be able to "pin/favourite" a region?

Maybe it's a small personal pet peeve, but i'm lowkey (eh, more like higkey actually) tired that after doing... seems like any dungeon for materials, current region always switches to Valley 4.

Personally, i don't remember when was the last time i did anything on that page, and needing always to manually switch to Wuling pisses me off.

It would only save a tiny bit of time, but man that would feel good.

I am scared to apply to jobs, for some reason.

Edit: more thoughts.

Sorry for any typos, on mobile + it's 5 in the morning for me.

I'm not sure how to phrase it even. Guess i'll start with a bit of backstory?

After i graduated from college i took a somewhat simple job. Not sure if it has a single-word name in english but basically i was working in store and gathering people's online orders for groceries. Pay was nice, maybe it's not a job you'd work your whole life, but i was happy. For someone like me who is shy, timid and doesn't really like talking to customers, it was an ideal job.

Then in... April 2021??? Company terminated our spot (multiple spots were terminated across city, people speculated about approaching bankruptcy). They reassured us that we don't need to leave the company and just stay in touch so managers can send us to work at new spots (that never happened). So i waited. They would send us multiple updates on situation and what not.

Then, it's June of 2021. I'm just living my life at my parents place, everything nice. And suddenly my dad suffered a huge cardiac attack. My life turned upside down, with doctors not helping by saying he only had 20% chance of surviving. I won't downplay it when i'll say i pretty much had a mental breakdown, the mere thought of losing my dad drove me almost insane. The amount of gray hairs i have at the ripe age of 24 is crazy.

Job hunt was fast forgotten, i took my new "job" of taking care of my dad full time basically. Then in July they send me an email that i was terminated because i haven't showed up for work in more than 3 months (duh, show up where?). And that's basically it.

It's been what, 4 years basically? Dad is doing good, not as good as if nothing happened but he doesn't require intense "pampering" let's call it that. 1 doctor visit every 3 months at most, and that can be done without me.

The work question was brought up, by myself actually. I am sick and tired of sitting in 4 walls with my laptop every single day. I want to have my own money (my dad gives me any amount that i'll ask but, come on now). I want to buy expensive stuff for myself by myself, to feel like i actually earned it. I want to work but... I'm scared to work???

The rational part of my brain understands and wants to work, the thought of having a consistent activity makes it happy.

But the other part freezes and somewhat blacks out when thinking about job and job hunting? I want to leave my house but i don't want to leave my house? I hate lazying around but i want to???

Like, i hate how much free time i have on my hands but the thought of having less free time makes me anxious and angry???

The fact that a person who is almost died, recovered, now damaged for the rest of his life, is now back working full time and me, who is young and healthy is sitting home and feeling miserable drives me insane. My problem feels tiny and dumb and at the same time it feels like a huge wall that i can't get through.

Am i scared that if i'll go to job something will happen to dad again??? When he was in the hospital i grieved how so little time i spend with him. Maybe i'm scared that when i'll start working i won't be able to have as much private time with him as i do now???

I hate that i self aware how idiotic all this sounds and yet at the same time i'm not self aware enough to understand why i feel the way i do.

I want to work, i really do. But the thought of working scares the crap out of me.

Dad doesn't pressure me of funding a job at all, he's supportive and says that i can take all the time i need. His only grumble is that whatever job i'll take it shouldn't be a janitor (ngl if pay would've been good i'd take it, almost zero human contact and i like cleaning). He sometimes jokes that i should finally take any job and pay his bills but when he sees my panicked face he backs down immediately and reassures me.

Please, give any thoughts on this. I can't count how many tears of frustration i shed because of this. I'm tired and angry.

Are there any Toyhouse inspired character sheets?

Probably a weird wording in places because i'm not sure how to say what i want.

While I'm slowly trying to learn to code, looking at how others' character sheets look on Toyhouse gives me a huge dose of inspiration and helps me to keep my own information neatly organised. However, I'm not a fan of storing a lot of info on websites, who knows what could happen: site wipeout, getting banned, and so on.

So I was looking for a way to mimic some styles in my vault so I can store all my info directly on my pc while still making it look nice. The only problem is that I found only fone good-looking character sheet, and it's a wikipedia-inspired one. It looks nice, but it's not what I want for myself.

The others are mostly for DnD, and personally, I don't like how they look at all.

I'm green in both coding and obsidian (for now), so can someone experienced tell me, if something like this is possible to implement in Obsidian?
Example - https://toyhou.se/36640436.bookish/36640469.character-profile

Thanks for any tips/opinions and help!

I think for a lack of the better word i'm... hearbroken.

Now that the Kickstarter campaign has ended, I suppose the feeling of grief has finally set in. I was one of the first people to back the project and I had no doubt that we would hit all the goals in just a couple of days (did anyone even question that?). When the last stretch goals were announced and voice acting was one of them, I felt such a rush of joy.
...

Then 2 weeks later we were nowhere near it.

...

Then, in the last 30 minutes, we managed to reach the beach episode, which made me really happy again.
But then I remembered that the VA goal was the last one.

Some said that we could still make it, but having monitored Kickstarter for the last three days straight, I'd say it's highly unlikely, which breaks my heart.

I'm not sure how to phrase it, thanks to the language barrier, but I'm not trying to downplay the whole campaign: I am overjoyed that the developers managed to reach such high goals and gather so many people who like their stories (and I have been one of those people since the beginning).

But I also feel such immeasurable sadness knowing how well the voice acting was done for the first game and that we won't be hearing it in the second one.

At first, I saw that the developers were replying to comments about a second campaign in a couple of years with a "never say never!" approach, which gave me some peace of mind. However, their last responses were set in stone, saying "now or never", which hits me like a hammer every time.

Given how good 5012 was in ADWD1, and now, the second game focusing mostly on him, it's a shame we won't be hearing him anymore (he had some great lines in the demo already). Basically, all we have of him is 18 minutes in the first game.

My friends are trying to cheer me up by saying "don't be sad it's gone, be happy it happened", but sometimes it just makes me feel worse. At that point, I even kind of regret playing the first game with voice acting, because that would have saved me from my current heartbreak (I think I'll take these words back, just not now).

I wonder if there are other people who feel the same?

Once again, I would like to reiterate that I am extremely happy that the campaign did so well and that we reached 95% of the stretch goals. However, I am also extremely sad about the remaining 5%.

I apologise for the rant, I felt the need to share it.

Debate about moss mix

I asked my friend group to help me with mixing hair dyes, because the only greens you could buy are usually teal and emerald green. Or it's a brand that you can't get in our country.

Opinios are divided. One group says i should buy blue-yellow-black, other votes for teal-orange-and maybe black.

I'm aiming for that warm swamp-y moss-y color and ideally with long-lasting dyes. For that, they agreed on Iroiro.

Thoughts, anyone?

I need help with my cosplay!

Could someone please explain the layering to me? In the game, when you pick a skin tone, only the "1" changes, so I might assume that it's the only partially transparent part.

But what about "2"? Is it just a grey shirt? Or what?

And what about "3"? Is it just a black top, or is it connected to "2"?

Any tips or help would be much appreciated!

Need help finding similar posts.

Those are the only examples i have on my phone right now.

Usually, when i'm in a artblock this type of posts help me, because i use them to draw or imagine my characters.

I guess there isn't really any "label" you can put on those because of how random can they be, so i guess i'm basically just asking to send me some funny.

Thanks!

A sudden thought.

While calling Casper in ADWD1, I was thinking that it would obviously be in full-screen mode since it's a one-on-one chat.

In ADWD2, we've only had the chance to do group calls so far, and even when 5012 disconnected, the view didn't swap to 0213's full-screen view, since duh, it's a group call still, even if 1 of 3 members is gone.

What if, when we eventually start doing one-on-one calls with 0213 and 5012, their view will actually be in full-screen mode, as if in ADWD1?

Maybe I just want to see their sprites and backgrounds better...yeah...

I hope it's the right flair. I'm not even sure if what i wrote make sense, but oh well.

I was talking to Dad about buildings and home renovations in general. While he was explaining that my new table needs to be wide enough for me to lie on it with my arms fully extended - because you always fall asleep on it and then complain about how sore your arms are from dangling from the corner - it kind of hit me.

I've always struggled with body measurements, but ask me to draw you a plan for a wardrobe and it's easy.

So I spent a day loosely looking at myself, and this is what I have now:

- To figure out where to place the ears, trace a line from the nostrils and eyebrows.
- The length of the palm is the same as the length of the middle finger (with knuckle)
- How to phrase it... To understand the length of each finger joint, basically split the length of the full finger (including the knuckle) in half, then split that in half again to get the length of the two remaining joints.
- How do you call it in English? Basically, the first finger roughly reaches past the knuckle line.
- I'm not sure if it's just how I see my hands, but the middle finger isn't actually placed in the middle of the palm, but slightly to the side. Because when I traced a line through the middle of the palm, it actually ended in the empty space between the middle and ring fingers.
- Your palm should roughly cover half of your face.
- The length of the thigh is roughly the same as the length of the calf (without the knee).
- I'm not sure about this one, but the length of the arm should end somewhere near the crotch line?

Aaand... that's it for me for now. Basically, when i started to treat the body not as a... body, but as some sort of structure (like a wardrobe), it was easy for me to grasp it's measurements.

I'm not sure why, but the - adult body is 7 heads tall - sentence never worked for me.

AND YET when i noticed these things, my brain suddenly started to work and EVERYTHING started to make sense. Maybe i'm just slow to understand things, who knows. But it feels like i've given my brain a huge gulp of water after 5+ years of artblock, i don't remember the last time i wanted to draw so badly.

So, for those of you who are more advanced in anatomy, could you share measurements and tips like these for the rest of the body? Maybe even for specific muscle groups?

Thanks!
