Does anyone know what’s filming in east london, Specifically near the Brick Lane area

Attached a maps marking of the area. Had a look around and there’s no signs referring to a production or anything. Just parking notices for filming.

Advice for purchasing a new Macbook Pro?

Hey All,

I've been experiencing some issues with my current Macbook and just wanted some advice in terms of purchasing.

I'm currently using a 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro (Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD) and it's becoming increasingly difficult to use.

The main issues I'm experiencing are:

  • Gets extremely hot even during light tasks like web browsing, YouTube or Netflix. I've already disabled Turbo Boost and use a laptop stand for better airflow, but it's still too hot to comfortably rest my hands on.
  • Performance is very laggy. Sometimes moving the cursor takes 4–5 seconds to register, and opening or switching between apps is slow and glitchy. This gets noticeably worse when connected to an external monitor.
  • Battery life has deteriorated significantly. A couple of hours of Netflix can take the battery from 100% to around 40–50%, and around 45 minutes of PS Remote Play drops it to roughly 65%. I have to keep it in Low Power Mode most of the time.
  • The Mac will occasionally shut down unexpectedly if nothing is actively happening on screen, despite sleep settings being configured to prevent this.
  • I have to keep Reduce Motion and Reduce Transparency enabled because the interface feels much less responsive otherwise.
  • If I plug anything other than the charger into the USB-C ports (e.g. my USB-C hub), the screen can freeze and audio cuts out.
  • In warm weather it's almost unusable because it overheats so easily.
  • I'm using an Anker PowerExpand 6-in-1 USB-C hub for HDMI and Ethernet, and although it's a reputable hub, connecting my external display makes the Mac feel even slower.

Battery information:

  • Battery cycle count: 686
  • Full charge capacity: 7712 mAh

Storage:

  • 1TB SSD
  • Around 700GB currently used

My typical usage is:

  • Web browsing (often lots of tabs)
  • YouTube/Netflix/music
  • PS Remote Play
  • Occasional programming, web development and database engineering

I'm trying to decide whether these issues are simply the result of an older Intel Mac that's reached the end of its life, or whether there's something else worth investigating before replacing it. I'm also considering upgrading to a 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro chip, 48GB RAM and a 1TB SSD.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is the Nävlinge LED clamp spotlight mains powered?

Hi all,

As the title suggested, just wanting confirmation of whether the Nävlinge is mains operated or if it needs a usb c connection?
It will be clipped onto a bunk bed as a reading light so needs the mains connection.
Thanks in advance!

No satellite signal with new Sky Q

we had sky q installed less than a week ago and every day since then we have switched it on in the morning to find no satellite signal.
I managed to restart the box a few times and get it back each time.
I have since turned off the eco mode setting - which worked for one day and then the next day there is no satellite signal again.
I have tried the troubleshooting - which is alll fine and other than constantly shutting down and restarting the box nothing works.

We live in a block with a communal dish and prior to sky a have had a sky+ had box for years with no issues.

can anyone help me figure this out
