What's an acceptable amount of ads in a free mobile game?

Free games obviously need some way to make money, but there's a point where ads start ruining the experience.

What's your personal limit?

Rewarded ads only?
A few ads per session?
No forced ads at all?

What's a mobile game feature that seemed pointless at first but ended up being your favorite?

Every now and then a game introduces a feature that doesn't seem important at first but after playing for a while, you can't imagine the game without it.

What's one feature that surprised you like that? Which game was it, and why did it work so well?

If you could fix one thing about today's mobile games, what would it be?

I've been playing a variety of mobile games lately, and it feels like everyone has that one thing they'd love to change.

If you had the chance to improve modern mobile games, what would you fix first?

Would it be:

  • Too many ads?
  • Aggressive monetization?
  • Repetitive gameplay?
  • Better controls?
  • More meaningful progression?
  • Something else entirely?

I'd love to hear your thoughts and examples of games that actually got it right.

What is the fastest reason you have uninstalled a mobile game?

I feel like most mobile games have about 5-10 minutes to make a good impression.

What is the biggest reason you've uninstalled a game almost immediately?

Too many ads?
Confusing tutorial?
Paywalls?
Boring gameplay?
Something else?

What's the most underrated mobile game you've played this year?

Everyone talks about the same popular mobile games but what is a game you have discovered this year that almost nobody seems to know about?

Could be casual, strategy, puzzle, runner anything.

What made you keep playing it when so many mobile games get uninstalled after a day or two?

Working on arcade game - Need your first impression on this!

No context, no pitch.

Just watch the gameplay and tell me:

  • What's the first thing you noticed?
  • Would you try it?
  • If not, why?

I'm trying to improve before the next update.

"What's the fastest reason you've uninstalled an arcade game?"

I have noticed that a lot of arcade games get downloaded, played a few times and then forgotten. I'm curious from a player's perspective: what is the fastest reason you have uninstalled an arcade game?

Was it repetitive gameplay, too many ads, lack of progression, difficulty spikes, boring controls or something else entirely?

I'd love to hear specific examples. Understanding what makes players quit seems just as important as understanding what makes them stay.

Trying to make an arcade game that feels impossible to quit!

Been working on the movement, pacing and replayability loop for this mobile arcade game lately.

The main goal is simple: Easy to start, hard to master and always makes you want "one more game"

Here's the short clip for the current build.

Would genuinely love feedback on the gameplay feel so far.

What makes players come back to a game after the first session?

Somme games instantly become part of our routine, while others get deleted after one play. What do you think makes players genuinely come back to a simple mobile arcade game?

What makes a simple arcade game feel replayable instead of repetitive?

I have been getting some really good feedback about retention and player engagement lately. One thing I keep noticing is that players don't mind simple gameplay, they mind repetitive gameplay.

So Now I'm curious: What makes you keep coming back to an arcade mobile game even when the core gameplay loop is simple?

Progression? Skill curve? Unlockables? Competition?

Would love to hear different perspectives.

What actually makes players stick to a simple arcade game?

Getting installs felt difficult at first. But after getting users into my mobile arcade game, I realized retention is a completely different challenge.

Some players play for 2 minutes and leave, while others keep coming back. Right now I'm trying to understand what actually makes an arcade game "Sticky."

I have been working on a simple arcade game and recently crossed 100k installs.

I am now trying to improve retention and gameplay feel.

What do you think matters more at this stage:

  • Better Graphics
  • Smoother Controls
  • More / Different levels
  • Or something else?

Would love honest feedback.

Hey everyone,

I am working on an android arcade game and currently getting installs through ads, but organic growth is almost flat.

It feels like most of the usual advice (ASO, posting, etc.) is not moving the needle much, maybe I am not doing it right.

For those who've been through this:

  • What actually helped you get organic installs?
  • Which channels gave real results?
  • Anything you tried that didn't work at all?

Trying to figure out where to focus my time. would really appreciate real experiences.
