Ready to murder the faithful (and some cheese).

They meant 'faffing about', which is British slang.

{Silenced by jayce carter} was a good read and I'm surprised I've not seen it recc'd before. I got randomly suggested it by kindle.

Fmc suddenly finds she's a 'shade' which is the general word for supe, and immediately gets her throat slit as she's a very dangerous siren and gets shoved into this academy which is a prison. The world building is interesting; shades are seen as dangerous, inhuman and lesser. They get forced into these schools and only low level ones are given any freedom, but still can't get jobs, are abused and hated etc.

There are 5 mmcs (I love a biggish harem) and each is a different and interesting supe; wendigo, berserker, incubus, void and a lab created mix. There's a range of ages, fmc is turned at 19 and the mmcs range from about a couple years older to two of them being late 30s/40.

It was a fun read, fmc has to adjust to a whole new world, find her strength and she turns out to be quite capable.

I adore a monster fucker book! This one has a decent plot, bizarre peens and monsters who are actually monstrous and not just sexy guys who are blue.

Spoiler for the type of mmcs, because we don't get them all in book 1 >!mothman, a shadowy tentacle ghoul spirit who possesses fmc, a wendigo sort of monster, and a Nokken who is a siren type guy (yes, he is sexy and blue. But also has many teeth and a tentacle peen)!<

We also gain the members of the harem as we go through the books, and it isn't obvious who will be in it until they start to join. The guys all have different personalities and quite clear characters.

There is MM, but nothing on page other than teasing flirting until at 80% of the third and final book.

It was a fun read, and not one I've seen recc'd on here much at all so thought I'd give it a shout out.

My baby Horatio, still looking like a puppy at 12 years old 💕

I love a fantasy academy, but finding quality ones after reading the usual recommendations can be hard, so I'm sharing this.

I really enjoyed it; fmc is strong, capable, and kicks ass.

I also liked that the mmcs were not all obvious, and she picks them up as the series goes on, it makes a nice change from her meeting a group of dudes already together as a team. They are all different and don't just merge into one basic man.

The story is good, there's real plot and action there. We've got far, vamps, shifters, mages. They go by different names, but that's what they are.

Spice is low and slow burn. No sex in the first 2 books I think, no shared or group scenes at all. But the relationships feel natural and there's genuine build-up to them.

It's a fun series, and on KU too.

Just casually relaxing. I adore my little weirdo 😂
