Ferris Wheel Press Carousel Inkwell
I decided to buy the expensive fancy inkwell, and as much as I love it… it’s really just a pretty desk decoration. (*´▽`*) For the price of $55, it is teensy tiny, with a lid that 100% relies on its own weight to just sit on top of the glass. There is a flat silicone gasket, but the lid does not screw on nor does it pop on like a fitted cork, so if you somehow manage to knock over the bottom-heavy glass, the lid will definitely fall immediately off. Since I had a lucky windfall to justify the purchase, I love the pretty thing and it does function as a small decanter from my larger bottle of custom mixed ink. But as much as spinning it idly just does something for the undiagnosed whatever I got going on, it quite spectacularly failed at actually mixing any of the mica powder that settled on the bottom. σ(^_^;)
Suffice to say, it makes for a great gift (aka if you didn’t have to buy it yourself), but if a normal, functional inkwell with a leakproof lid is what you want, this ain’t it. (≧∇≦)
