Weirdest/rarest disease to be solved by carnivore

What is the weirdest/rarest disease to be solved/put in remission by carnivore that you know of? either by yourself or someone else that you know of.

We all probably know by now many examples of people with arthritis,MS, crohns,IBS,diabetes etc that put their disease with carnivore in remission but I am more interested to hear of the rare diseases.

For example I know a guy that put Guillan Barré syndrome into remission.

Serum Tears made me much worse

I was prescribed autologous serum tears for corneal neuropathy. After using 1 drop in both eyes my eyes got significantly worse: pain below eyelids, on eye surface, also burning and much more dryness and feeling of sand.

I don’t know the concentration as in germany no one differentiates between them for whatever reason.

Does anyone has advice for me? I feel like it made my eyes significantly worse after 1 application.

PS: I have an autoimmune disease (spondyloarthritis) but the doctor knew this

Transport of Serum Tears

Can anyone who has used serum tears explain how the transport works?

The hospital’s website said they offer medical transport. However, when I arrived, they told me that I have to organize everything myself. They will basically just hand me a sealed shipping box with the serum tears inside, cooled with dry ice.

I’m a bit nervous about handling it because I read that dry ice can be dangerous if handled incorrectly. How did it work for you? Did you just take the box home by car, or did you use a transport service? And was there anything special you had to pay attention to when handling or disposing of the dry ice?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.

Manuka honey with punctum plugs

Is it okay to use Optimel Manuka Honey Gel while having punctal plugs?

I currently have dissolvable punctal plugs made of copolymer. I’ve had them for about six weeks now, and they’re supposed to last around six weeks more from now on.

I’m wondering if anyone here has used Optimel Manuka Honey Gel/drops while having punctal plugs in place. Did you notice any issues, such as irritation, increased inflammation, or problems with the plugs themselves?

I’d really appreciate any insights or personal experiences. Thanks!

Manuka Honey while on steroid drops

Has anyone used Manuka honey eye gel (or the drops) while still being on steroid eye drops?

I’m currently using a low-dose steroid (Softacort) once per day. I’ve been on it for several weeks and would really like to taper off, but every time I try, my symptoms seem to flare up again, so it’s been difficult to stop completely.

I’m looking for something that might help control the inflammation as I come off the steroid, and I’ve been considering trying the Manuka honey gel or drops.

Has anyone here used Manuka honey products while tapering off steroid drops? Did it help with inflammation or make any difference? I’d be interested to hear about your experiences, especially if you were in a similar situation.

Thanks!

Punctal plugs made my dry eye significantly worse – anyone else experienced this?

About a month ago, I had a meibomian gland expression and punctal plugs inserted during the same appointment. The doctor recommended both. During that visit, she also diagnosed me with conjunctivitis/inflammation and prescribed a low-dose steroid eye drop (Softacort).

Right after the plugs were inserted, they bothered me a lot. The doctor said that sensation would only last for the rest of the day and then disappear, and that I would likely need much fewer artificial tears afterward.
However, my experience has been the exact opposite.

My Schirmer test was reportedly normal, and since getting the plugs, my dry eye symptoms have become significantly worse than before. I’m now one month in, and I still feel much worse than I did prior to the procedure.

I’ve since read that some doctors avoid punctal plugs when there is active ocular surface inflammation because inflammatory tears can remain on the eye longer and potentially worsen symptoms. At the time, I didn’t know this and trusted the recommendation.

The plugs are dissolvable (not collagen), and according to the doctor they should last about 3 months, so I assume they’re still there.

Has anyone had a similar experience where punctal plugs actually made their dry eye worse? Did things improve once the plugs dissolved or were removed? I’m especially interested in hearing from people with MGD or a normal Schirmer test.

Thanks!
