There's a major gap in current Kansas political campaigning and you can help fix it. This needs to happen ASAP. Please contact the powers that be that you know to help amplify this message. We can win a few of these toss-ups AND it starts with you.
2 Things.
1.Kansas needs more regular folks taking to social media and recording themselves talking about why and who they're voting for this election cycle. On all socials including Tiktok/snapchat/youtube shorts. Yes- you ...Jim from accounting. That includes you even if you're not great on camera. People need actual people advocating for what they believe. It needs to be done intelligently. Stick to the objective stuff of why you're voting for Holscher or Hamilton. Don't respond to comments. Hashtag yourself correctly with #politics etc. Use a burner if you wish. Go to rumble. Go to youtube shorts. We need thousands of you reddit people doing this. That's how you combat paid bot campaigns by the Kochs. You do massive volunteer posting.
You. Yes. You. Need to record yourself and get on the socials. If you think your voice doesn't matter. YOU'RE WRONG. FUCKING WRONG.
THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE ON THIS SUB ALONE DOING THIS WOULD BE EQUIVALENT TO MILLIONS IN ADS.
- Political campaigns need two kinds of flyers. The simple "vote for pedro" stuff works but an accompanying Issue by Issue voting guide is desperately needed and it needs to start now. If you're on this subreddit, plan on getting pamphlets and going door to door ASAP. People need to see that Holscher stands for this stuff and Masterson stands for this stuff and the likely consequences. Each person you talk to is a mini debate/conversation. "yeah masterson says he'll lower property taxes but so will Holscher but the bigger problem is masterson doesn't want to fund education and our schools are already barely funded. and our roads are crumbling"---explaining the fiscal reality of Kansas government is important.
In Summation. Make socials. Post yourself and advocate. The second part is knock on doors with pamphlets that include voter guides. Make sure whatever voter guide you're using is good. Communicate with nonprofits that make them and get them to add or subtract stuff.
What would it take to convince you to push for larger safety changes to the game? The research clearly shows elementary and middle school age shouldn't play tackle. What's the acceptable evolution of the game to prevent CTE?

If you're a K-State student nervous about AI, think about switching to cybersecurity. Rogue AI will be a thing and it will be bad. The need will be great. Ironically you'll probably be using AI to fight AI but a job a is a job lol
reddit.comI'm kind of surprised people aren't buying up paintball guns and ski masks. Leave your phone at home walk with a backpack near a Flock camera. Find a bush! Just thoughts.
reddit.comEveryone on this subreddit has a singular mission. Make friends and get them to vote. It starts now.
People still don't vote.
Has anyone actually done those speed dating events? If you're in your 30s, is it worth? My experience is that these kind of events feel like a waste of money but I'll admit I could be wrong
Just curious I could be wrong
I voted for Anne Parelkar because she took a whole year off just to campaign and push well-researched progressive values. I like the other people but I also don't want an uber wealthy as senator. They're always out of touch with us normals. And Adam Hamilton seems indecisive.
And Christy just seemed off to me. She seemed like someone more comfortable talking to progressives not centrist or conservatives. and I concede Anne apparently has some money herself.
Hey before I moved back home, I used that Christian group for getting rid of my furniture. I 100% do not agree with their politics or religious views but it is a helpful service that gets international students furniture and I wholly believe in making those folks feel welcomed even if ICE doesn't.
So yeah, if you need furniture or have furniture to give away and need help getting it out of your place, they'll do it.
My thoughts on improving US Soccer from the ground up. Strengthen our Rec League Infrastructure. Ultimately less money spent by parents.
I’m not against club soccer, and I understand that serious players eventually need better coaching and competition.
But it seems like the affordable rec pathway becomes a dead end pretty quickly. By 9 or 10, parents can feel like they have to choose between expensive club soccer or letting their kid fall behind.
Why isn’t there more of a middle level—advanced rec teams, futsal, extra local practices and free regional evaluations—before families start spending thousands on travel?
That could also give athletic kids more time to develop soccer skills before football or another sport becomes their only serious path.
Is this gap actually as large as it looks, or are there programs already doing this well?
I'm all for the best candidate against Marshall. But where were Adam Hamilton and others while we were protesting? I don't recall these people ever showing out. I'm convinced he's Joe Manchin.
Dude is a grifter.

I"M TALKING ABOUT THE PRIMARY. HE HASN'T GOT PAST THAT YET. lol.
No offense, but if it meant something to him. He'd have been out there with us. And yeah this isn't a big purity test. He literally could have held a sign that said "Jesus is the only King" or something. The dude isn't to be trusted. And yeah. I go to Rez. He's played everything about Trump with so much middle ground. Trump could have done the worst things and Adam Hamilton would have said nothing. And really Adam did say nothing for the past 10 years. HAD HE SAID ANYTHING> ANYTHING. BUT HE DIDN'T. He was more concerned about keeping donations rolling in from conservative members. I know. My conservative great aunt is pissed he's running and quit donating to Rez. But ask yourself do you want a politician who chose to stay silent just to please his donors/members? NO. He could have said even the most chill thing but he didn't.
I really think this is a fun hobby but as the economy worsens, a quick reminder that it's still gambling. You aren't making your money back. I see more and more folks treating this like serious trip to the casino instead of a fun one-off scratcher.

Just want to get that out there. If you have a gambling problem...seriously seek help.
So because I've been told Anne Parelkar doesn't have stances on national issues and she's unelectable. Heck Yeah she does. Good ideas. I think some of the other candidates share her thoughts too so that's good. We need to normalize candidates standing for more specific things.
So here's an interesting tidbit. The JOCO dems have decided that Anne Parelkar/others are not worth mentioning when it comes to the Senate race. Anne might not have huge amounts of money but she has a relatively large volunteer base. I didn't know county parties did this.
They uninvited her to events and stuff. According to them only 5 candidates are worth mentioning in the US Senate Primary. Not a good look especially considering Adam Hamilton wasn't even a democrat until recently and yet they'd rather stick to him versus a true progressive. 2026 Candidate Guide — Johnson County Democratic Party
But I have a list of friends helping her campaign across Kansas.

This is a really good example of why everyone should vote in primaries. Stick it to the swamp and vote in candidates that haven't been preordained like Hillary Clinton was by the "elites"
Edit: I misspelled her name my bad.
If you aren't telling friends and family and random people you meet to get ready to vote in the primaries, you aren't doing enough. I know I'm making multiple posts, but No One votes in Primaries. Let's change that.
Start talking with people. Holding up signs was cool but ya'll gotta be more active with word of mouth.
If you protested at any point, FYI. Vote in a primary. Your vote if done intelligently can be incredibly impactful. So many people don't realize this and don't vote until the general when it's too late sometimes.
Look things up. Make sure you can vote in one.
Make sure you are registered and can vote in one of the primaries coming up. Republican or Dem. Even if you consider yourself an independent, still register and pick. Your vote has the most power in one of these. They put a lot of resources into assuming only certainpeople vote in primaries.
