What is it like living in Albany, OR as a Mexican woman?

Hi! I’m 23F, Mexican, and currently live in Stockton, CA. I recently came across the Diagnostic Imaging/Radiologic Technology program at Linn-Benton Community College and was kind of shocked by how much more affordable it is than a lot of the programs I’ve been looking at in California.
I’m nowhere near committed to moving yet lol, I’m really just exploring the idea and trying to figure out if it would even be realistic. I’ve visited Oregon before and absolutely loved the scenery, weather, forests, etc., but visiting somewhere is obviously very different from actually living there.

For people who live in Albany or the surrounding area, what is it actually like?

I’m especially curious about:
How welcoming/diverse the area is, particularly for Mexican/Latino people
Whether you’ve experienced much racism or discrimination
Cost of living/rent for a young couple
Safety and which areas you would/wouldn’t recommend
Things to do for people in their early 20s
How easy it is to make friends
Weather and what the winters are actually like
Anything that surprised you after moving there
Experiences with Linn-Benton Community College, especially the Diagnostic Imaging program if anyone happens to know about it

I’d potentially be moving with my boyfriend, so I wouldn’t be completely on my own. My family would still be in California, which is probably the part that makes me most nervous about considering somewhere out of state.
I’d love to hear from people who actually live there, especially anyone who moved from California or another more diverse area. Good and bad experiences are both welcome! I’m just trying to get a realistic picture of what life there is like. :)

HDL levels

(Hi I am 22 Female, 4’8, 145lbs, I am on 75mg Zoloft)
HDL is at 30, normal for women is 50. They say low HDL levels can result in heart disease which runs in my family.

My doctor told me to quit smoking (I have no clue if she meant weed or cigarettes), and she is out of town for a little.
So I’ve stopped smoking (weed), and I feel miserable. I’m constantly bored, my anxiety is through the roof, I can’t sleep, I feel emotionally numb, and my head feels like it’s on fire. Weed used to help me relax and actually feel things, so now I feel like I’m stuck in my own brain 24/7. I honestly feel it’s probably best I stop since I am writing how bad I’m feeling lol.
I’m also on Zoloft, so I’m not sure if this is withdrawal, my medication, or both. My doctor told me to stop smoking because of my low HDL cholesterol, but I’m sitting here wondering, “What am I supposed to do for my mental health in the meantime?”
If you’ve gone through this, how long did it last? Did it get better, and what actually helped you get through it? I’m really looking for honest experiences because this has been a lot harder than I expected.

This is exactly what her email said about smoking: “Smoking lowers HDL, so if you smoke it's important to quit. To get support and resources for quitting, talk to your doctor about stop-smoking programs and medicines. This can increase your chance of quitting for good.”

Does this mean weed or cigarettes??

What’s the fastest way to drop weight?

Hi everyone,
I’m F22 going to my first rave in about 2 months, and I’m honestly really excited, but also really nervous.
One thing that’s making me anxious is the clothing. I see so many girls confidently wearing fishnets, bikinis, and other revealing outfits, and I wish I had that same confidence. I’d love to wear something fun too, but I’m worried I’ll feel insecure.
These are my measurements:
Height: 4’8” (142 cm)
Weight: 144 lbs with a curvier build
34G bust
36.5” waist
43.5” hips
I’d like to lose some weight before then to feel a little more confident, but I’m also looking for outfit ideas that would flatter my body as it is now. I don’t want to spend the whole night worrying about how I look.
Please be kind, I’m already feeling pretty vulnerable posting this. If you’ve been in a similar situation or have advice on rave outfits for a petite, curvy body, I’d really appreciate it. ❤️

Stained carpet

Hi everyone! I have two bunnies, and before they were litter trained they would constantly pee in the same spot. I now keep that area covered, but whenever I move the cover they immediately go back and pee there, even though they have a litter box.

I’m assuming they can still smell their scent in that spot, which is why they keep returning to it. Does anyone have recommendations for how to completely remove the scent and the stain so they stop recognizing it as their bathroom area?

Thanks in advance for any advice! 🐰🐰

What is this?

I literally went to the bathroom, came out and my dogs back looks like this. He was outside from 7:30am-11:30am, it’s now 12:30pm. I have no clue what happened or what this is. I don’t think he is bleeding, I patted the area with a dry towel to see if there was any blood and I’m not seeing anything. I’m wondering if he is sunburned.
