I’m 30F and thinking about getting into skateboarding purely for fun. I’m not interested in learning big tricks. My plan would mainly be cruising around on flat paths in a park, wearing protective gear, and trying very small ramps just for fun.

I’m okay with bruises and minor scrapes, but I absolutely don’t want to break a bone, dislocate anything, or suffer a serious injury.

Please share your experience, especially if you’ve been skating for years and mainly skate for fun and safety rather than doing aggressive tricks. How often have you had injuries, and what kind?

so, sorry for the title im just really excited, ive been wanting a skateboard for 2 years now and my family always knew, theyve been looking for something good that isn't too expensive, but today we struck gold.

my dads friend has an unused skateboard at their workplace (i think?) and my dad mentioned my eagerness for a skateboard, so the friend said sure ill give it to you, im getting it in a few days!! its been a nixe journey, i was waiting for so long i can now land ollies on hard pillows ive been practicing

yeah, just a question.

Dude im SUCH a fan of skateboarding but my province does NOT sell any skateboards other than pennyboards but like i can't contain myself im not an ungrateful kid but like i NEED a skateboard my heart is aching for one
