Anyone with knowledge of these? Would I be wasting my time and money if I picked this up?

Grabbed this for my son. This was rotting away on the side of my buddies garage. Covered in moss. Gas tank had shit growing in it. Mouse house in the air filter box. HEAVY power wash. Put on a new Nibbi carb in it. New NGK. New fluids. New (old) battery. New tires. Brakes were good. Just hoping to make some of y’all envious.

I bought a Boyd’s stock for my Remington 783. Before you tell me what a POS gun it is, I already know haha. Just felt like shining a turd. Anyway, the barrel is rubbing again one side of the barrel channel on the stock. It’s not sitting flush. Is this something I should contact Boyd’s about? I am by no means a long range precision shooter. I just want a decent hunting rifle to give to my son.
