Hey guys I need some urgent help

Someone on here suggested a cold compress and not even 5 minutes after taking it off my abcess started draining. I'm so relieved, I thought I was gonna have to have surgery

My question is : do I let it drain by itself or apply some kind of pressure? What do I do please? What are the next steps to help it heal?
