How to make sure my colleague won't take credit on my work?

I have been working with another team (specifically one colleague, call them Jamie) and I have created a tool for them which is now going to production, which I am not going to use, this is solely was made for their workflow.

There will be an introduction/training meeting with the colleagues who will be the users. I am a very introverted person so I don't mind that Jamie will do the talking as the first "tester" of the tool. We agreed that it will be said that I have created this tool and I would chime in if I have any further comments and if the users have any feedback or idea for further development I will work on them.

I am not really a senior person and I usually work myself. I have always had problems with not being visible enough.

I don't see Jamie would want to take my credit, I got thanked multiple times in our small team as well, and it will be mentioned I am the creator. Jamie is a nice person. Just want to make sure I get the visibility.

Any tips what to say or what to be mindful on this training call? Thank you :)

Where can someone volunteer (possibly in animal shelters) in Dublin?

Hi All, my employer provides 2 days a year of volunteering time for the employees. I know it is not much, but this is what they provide and it might be a good place to start with, and then if someone feels, they can continue themselves in their freetime.

Hovewer, I find really hard to find an organisation to volunteer at. I have been trying to contact animal shelters but getting rejected- either the, don't need volunteering, or only take larger corporate groups and require significant money donation, which I am unable to organise myself (HR says everyone has to find their own volunteer programme, they don't really organise themselves). There seem to be jist a few people doing some volunteerint here and there, 2-3 hours beach cleaning etc, but always very far for me as I don't have car.

Do you know any organisations, possibly animal shelter, but anything really where someone could join to 1 or 2 whole days without requiring larger corporate organisations ans more people?

Thank you!

My manager is a mean girl, how to work with her?

I just got a new job and after a week I realised my immediate manager (woman) is a mean girl. It is only the 2 of us in the team. She says things like the person who was in my role was not clever, that she hates her new manager (there were changes at tha group), how xy other woman must take ozemp bc she is getting so skinny in a bad way. The also takes stuff out of my drawer, like small stuff eg gum etc.

I like this job but I am afraid she might me talking about me as well or she might block my development if she would be jelous of me because of anything...

How can I work with such person?

I was weird today at my workplace and I'll remember this for a long time

Today it was really hot at the office (I am an analyst at a bank). I noticed one of my colleagues, an old guy was trying to small talk with me by mentioning it.

I panicked and I told him imagine we are little tomatoes and we are getting riped in the greenhouse. Then he stopped talking with me

How to convince my (32F) husband (35M) to go after whether he is on the spectrum?

Edit: It seems my description made the impression I want to pin him down with a diagnosis. This is not the case at all. I would think if he'd be open to speak with a specialist would help him dealing with his emotions because I don't know what to do right now. Please don't attack me, I am trying to do everything but I am stuck.

My husband 35 M and I 32F have been together for 12 years (married for 3, no kids). Since I've known him, he had things that I would consider out of generally normally perceived behaviours. But as I have never had such experience at my young age in my surroundings, it took me years to realise my husband might be on the spectrum.

He is actually a software engineer, someone, who would be considered as a very introvert person, but nothing else, at least for someone who doesn't really know him.

Hovewer, he only eats certain foods, he has very low stress tolerance for anything that is out of the ordinary happenings, has rituals while he showers, and while he leaves home, and he mentioned even at his kindergarden age there was a note about him made at the kindergarden that he does not play with other kids and is very hard to convince him about stuff.

In the last 2 years this became more and more obvious as we are currently in a life situation where our living conditions currently are not as comfortable as they were before. He often gets very frustrated, completely spiraling and often I can't stop him. This taking a toll on me as well and in the last year or so every time I hear he is getting angry again of something, my stomack sinks, I got extremely anxious and just want to run away because I can't deal with this. I always try to support him but I feel it is messes up my mental well-being as well.

I have tried to mention him these things, and that he could investigate whether he has autism, but he does not want to hear about this nonsence.

Do you have any advice for me? I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!

People who don't wash their hands in the gym after using toilet

Feckin animals. Literally 80% of ppl I see (women) don't wash their hands after wiping themselves and stuff, jist look themselves in the mirror, set their hair and then go out and touch everything with their filthy hands.

And it doesnt matter how expensive the gym is, I saw the same tendency in cheap and luxury gyms

Hi, I have an issue with my upper neighbour. They probably have big plants on their balcony and every tine they water them, a big amount of muddy water raining down, making our balcony dirty, as well as sometimes our windows. I tried to talk with this neighbour in a kind manner but they basically said they bought that flat so they can have a nice garden or whatever there. Hovewer, this annoys me a lot, as due to this our windows get muddy, and I cant put out anything on our balcony (eg to air out boxing gloves, anything), because they start wateeing at random time and anything outside would get muddy and wet.

I am renting this apartment and don't want to cause issue or anything, but even after I asked this neighbour, they seem to do this inconsideratelly. I am also an introvert and don't lime confronting people so asking them to stop it was already stressful.

Is there anything I could do?

Thank you

Since I have joined to this company I have been eating the exact same thing every day for lunch. After they noticed it it turned out like a joke. Every time I come back from lunch now someone comment on it. I feel like a weirdo and afraid they think I have a mental issue which I don't. I just ate this on my first day, liked it and since than I felt no urge to try something else. I also think its not ok to joke on this

Where I am coming from, the Holy Communion is a big family event. Last week I was walking besides churches and I saw little girls dressed up in white dress etc, I assume it was that ceremony that happened. Hovewer, I could not ignore how the other parts of the families dressed, grey tracksuits, sweatpants, knee lenth shorts... basically only women were dressed to what I would say appropriate. Why men generally not dress appropriatelly? Is this not expected? Thank you
