Wheelchair yes/no update

I posted the other day about being unsure whether it's the right time to get a wheelchair. Thanks to the support in the comments and the experience people shared I started the process of getting one from my insurance. It's probably gonna take a few weeks but I would have never done this if not for the support from this community, so thank you.

If there is interest, I am gonna give another update later down the line.

Wheelchair yes/no?

I have mild to medium ME/CFS and was only diagnosed rather recently.

I am planning to start my Master degree in October and it's safe to say I'm terrified I can't keep up with the demands. Currently I can do about one or two activities per day, depending on whether I need to travel somewhere or not. I'm worried that traveling to uni is gonna take more energy than anything else and I keep wondering if a wheelchair would make my life easier. However, it feels silly because I can walk on most days. Getting a wheelchair would probably also be a lot of effort, so I want to know if it's worth it beforehand.

So my question is to those that are using wheelchairs: how did you decide it was the right moment? Did it make your life easier and in what ways? How does it impact your daily life and ability to partake in society?

Edit: I'm reading the replies but I'm in a crash rn so I won't necessarily respond. But I appreciate everyone giving their input.

How do you celebrate achievements?

I finished my Bachelor's degree recently, got accepted into a Master's program and was awarded a scholarship for it. Everyone keeps telling me to celebrate my achievements, but I genuinely don't know how. I am not the kind of person that enjoys going out to party, but that's the only thing I think of when I hear someone say "celebrate it."

How do you celebrate your achievements? Do you even celebrate them? What can celebration look like without the stereotypical party stuff?

I want to tell you about my accomplishments, but I can't

I finished my Bachelor's in January. I graduated with a 1,3. I wanted to tell you, and I wanted you to say that you are proud of me. But I know you wouldn't say that. You would just find a reason to make me feel bad or inadequate again.

Now, I got accepted into a Master's program that starts in October. I'm terrified that I am not good enough, that I will fail miserably, that the pressure will be too much. I wanted to tell you and hear you say that I will be all right. But you would've just questioned why I would wanna study English Literature. You would've told me that I failed because I didn't achieve the dreams you implanted in me and that becoming a professor is impossible for someone like me.

I also got awarded a scholarship for my Master's. I was chosen out of hundreds of candidates for my achievements, my goals, my drive, and because I am the person I am. I can't be proud of it. Because I can only be proud of things you acknowledge and praise. But getting your praise is a bloody business and I no longer wanna have to spend days, weeks, years building myself up again after you tore me down.

After struggling through the BA, constantly scared of how I will pay rent next month and what I will eat, I am getting paid to study the thing I love. I am one step closer to achieving a dream I found for myself. And I can't help but feel scared and lonely, longing for the words of encouragement that will never come out of your mouth.
