Do you think men are genuinely the more romantic gender, or is his view skewed by his past and the people he met?

I was having a conversation with my soon to be bf and he was telling me stories about when he went to jail he would sometimes give some people food and ask what their story was.

One example was when he apparently was talking to an ex doctor who's life got completely ruined by his brother who was supposed to be his accountant (ended up stealing his money and something about not paying taxes) and when the IRS caught up to him the ex doctor was the one that was hit the hardest, he ended up going bankrupt all his stuff got taken and his wife left him and he ended up homeless and on drugs.

That's when I mentioned that it's crazy that the wife left because of that, imo if something like that happened with the guy I'm married to I would stick with him till the end of time because I love the person for who they are.

Anyways when I mentioned that he started saying that women are just so used to taking but they don't give much back and once the guy stops providing she wants to move on to the next guy. He also said that men are the more romantic ones, who go the extra mile to see their women happy but females (his words) only care about themselves and what they can get out of a relationship.

I've never dated women before so I'm not sure on my opinion but something else he did mention was that most divorces are the women who start it

Looking back when I wasn't sure if being fem was the right thing for me

The 1st pic is of me before truly diving into what I felt represented me the most and the 2nd is more recent.

Honestly those pics are years apart, when I was younger I always felt that I shouldn't represent fem because it's not manly enough and I already looked softer for a guy so I got into this headspace where it was either extreme to I'm just a girl or I'm just a boy when in reality it's never black and white.

Today I can say proudly that I'm a true hearted femboy and can't wait till my hair grows longer and I look more like a lady, idk I just have always found femininity on me pretty and I like feeling pretty. I know this word isn't so popular anymore but my end goal is to be a trap lol.

I always find it so funny when let's say I'm talking to a person (not a stranger though, I usually don't correct them since I probably won't see them again) and I correct them about me being a dude they are surprised, it's very amusing.

Anyways keep your heads up guys! Don't let anyone stop you from being yourself (and that includes you!)

To the men who drink alcohol every day, what can someone do to help you slow down or stop doing it so much?

The guy I'm talking to drinks about 2 pints of coconut vodka everyday and he's 32 so I'm sure he's been doing this for some time, I don't mind that he drinks it's just I hear him say sometimes he wishes he didn't drink so much or that he should slow down. I don't ask him directly because I feel I don't want him to think that I think any sort of negative thing about it.

One time though he told me a big reason why he drinks a lot is because of the loneliness he's been dealing with. The thing is now that I'm here, I never want him to feel like he's alone, but the thing is the drinking hasn't slowed, he still drinks the same amount. I just want to help him out and make him feel safe.

What do you think you guys would find helpful if you had a sort of a drinking problem?
