Bringing a bike on The Canadian
Aside from paying the extra checked baggage fee, what else should I know? Do they take my bike as-is or would I need to arrive to the station with it in a bike box?

I'm in a somewhat unique situation where I rent from a relative for below market rent. I pay roughly $2000 a month for an 850 sq. ft. 2-bed 2-bath in downtown Toronto.
This relative is not seeking to sell for a profit and actually approached me to buy in the current market, since overall prices are down and they could sell to me for $500-550k. (They said something like if they tried to sell for even less, then the government would be after them for taxes? It wasn't clear to me.)
I would definitely be open to buying, however a few things to note:
At the end of the day if I can't afford to buy, I can continue to rent for the foreseeable future with rent control in place.
I would appreciate any advice, criticisms, etc. Thanks in advance.
Hi all! I'm planning to travel a leg of The Canadian in Economy and wanted any insights into making food/coffee on board. Do you get access to a boiled water tap? Microwave? Any and all tips about Economy Class would be appreciated. Thank you!
Planning a family day trip, and hoping to find scenic, safe routes to the park. Looking for safest crossings of the 403, park trails over road riding, and interesting spots to stop along the way. Doesn't necessarily have to be a direct route e.g. I saw that there are some light gravel trails that cut across Oakville, but I wonder if the park can be accessed from them? Thanks in advance for any help.
