Adding another post of opposition for Fresh Start Worlds
Horrible idea ngl
Please allow "esc" to close the GE interface, like nearly every other interface in the game
Title says it all really. Every other interface I've come into contact with in the game can be closed by hitting the escape key. It can be annoying when flipping between bank and the grand exchange.
Time left reading not showing for books uploaded through ADE?
In addition, page numbers are kind of weird. One page flip does not always change the page I’m on as well. Is it some weirdness with adobe acsm?
What does "Books Read" track?
I just recently got my Kobo Clara BW, and I've finished two books on it through two different libraries, both loaded onto the device by the Overdrive sync/logging in on the device.
I just checked, and the "books read" tracker went from 2 books to 1 in the past day, which makes me wonder how it's tracked? Does the count change if the book I finished is returned to the library? Or is this just a bug?
This popup has been getting me every time :(
An option to disable this would be pretty sweet
Using DeACSM with Kobo on Mac?
I’m trying to use Calibre to load ACSM books onto my Kobo on Mac, and while the files get converted to epub with no issue, I can’t actually open them on my kobo because the device is “not authorized with ADE”
Am I missing something in Calibre for this, or am I kind of out of luck? Thanks!
ADE also doesn’t seem to be supported on Mac anymore, so I can’t even go that route.
How do I authorize my Kobo with Adobe ADE on Mac?
ADE doesn’t seem supported anymore for Mac, and I’m trying to put a book I borrowed from the library onto my Kobo.
One option I saw was to use deACSM plugin on Calibre to do it, but while the file gets converted, I still can’t open it on my Kobo because the device itself is “not authorized”
Any tips? I fear I may have to just return it if I can’t get this to work.
Help with using ADE on Mac?
I downloaded a book with ADE on it through my library onto my Mac. I am trying to, through Calibre, get it onto my Kobo Clara, but after trying to open it, I am getting a message that my kobo is not authorized to open the file. I used the DeACSM Plugin to enable the file to convert to a .epub, but I am at a loss as to why it isn't working. Any help would be appreciated!
Customizing the software of Kobo Clara/ Adding mods?
I got my Kobo Clara yesterday (yay) and there are some things I have looked up that seem to require additional software being loaded onto the device, such as a clock that displays when reading.
Is there a main source for additional software/mods like this that I can browse through?
Pre purchase questions, Kobo Clara BW
Hi! I am interested in transitioning from kindle to kobo, but I do have a few specific questions about the ecosystem, etc, before purchase. It looks like there have been a bunch of changes to Kobo in the past few months, too.
Is there an “email to my kobo” feature to easily put books, etc, on the device? Or is plugging it into the computer the only way to get already owned books on it?
Does the Kobo apple app and the cloud/browser reader/device itself all sync with third party books? If I load a book onto it, can I then read it in a web browser?
Is Libby support on device, or can I use the Libby app on my phone to send books to it? Is multi library support an official thing/ is there is an easy workaround that does not require Adobe?
Turning my kindle on airplane mode will prevent any library books past their due date from getting yanked off the device, is this accurate for Kobo as well?
I think that’s all my questions? Thanks in advance!
Also super cool that it links with StoryGraph!! Been using that for a few years now.
Favorite games that allow you to save anytime/pick up and put down at any point?
I find it difficult to play certain games because of how they save progress. With the sporadic and inconsistent gaming time I have, I do not want to spend a few minutes running from a checkpoint to get back where I left off.
Games I love with perfect saving systems:
Elder Scrolls/Fallout series
Kingdoms of Amalur
Most MMOs (FFXIV, LOTRO, RS3+OSRS,ESO)
FromSoft games
Baldur's Gate 3
Subnautica games
Satisfactory/Factorio
Torchlight 2 (does save a LOT more frequently than most games of the genre)
Cyberpunk 2077
CONTROL: Game so good it was worth the minimal hassle of the checkpoint system; saved often enough to not be annoying
Tower defense games
Most Metroidvanias: These games usually have a checkpoint system, but are usually spread out enough and common enough to not be a pain
No Man's Sky
Nioh 3
Tainted Grail
Avowed: Not that great of a game but the saving system was good
Games that I like but have difficult saving systems:
Grim Dawn, you go back to the hometown when exiting the game
Guild Wars 1: I am enjoying this game a lot but the fact the whole explorable area resets upon exiting it is a huge pain in the ass + having to walk for several minutes to get to a quest spot far away from a fast travel point. Completing some of the longer dungeons can be very frustrating, especially if I'm petering out but know I will have to do everything all over again if I leave the game.
Guild Wars 2: Most of the game is fine, except story dungeons that kick you back to the main game if you exit part way though.
Borderlands relies on checkpoints
Devil May Cry series relies on checkpoints
Terraria you go back to your spawn point upon exiting the game, not too bad though in late game when traversal is a lot faster
Most multiplayer pvm games: Helldivers 2, Monster Hunter, Vermintide, etc, hard to commit time to sometimes, can get tired midway though a game
Any recommendations would be appreciated! I don't generally like RTS games or grand strategy.
Am I just silly or are there no downsides to just staying in werewolf form?
I just made a new character and the transformation seems… really good? Bonus damage and it’s permanent?
What are the downsides?
New Player - How to get around the map?
Hi! I am enjoying this game so far, I'm about 3 hours in and have not yet left the starting area yet. I have noticed when I pick up quests and go off to the solo areas, if I log out and back in, I'm back at the closest hub area. This is a little frustrating, as it seems the only way to get to a lot of places it to run, unless a map point is unlocked?
Am I just silly and missing something? Thanks!
Editing to add I just looked at the map on the wiki and discovered there are definitely more fast travel points than I thought, thanks! I missed the one near wizards folly and was super confused
Any chance we can move the update counter? :( Can't see boss hp
My first green logged boss :)
Got to 503 kc with everything except dowser, logged in this morning intent on just getting 2 kc then playing another game, and then got it on the second kc. 🥹
ARPG games that are not super complicated?
While ARPG generally stands for action rpg, I am specifically taking about games in the same genre as Diablo, Grim Dawn, Torchlight, etc. Top down hack and slash fun.
I do like Grim Dawn a lot, but the game oftentimes feels too confusing with the two different masteries, plus the constellations. I feel like I spend more time staring at item stats than I do playing at higher levels.
I tried the Diablo 2 remaster, and while the builds look simple enough, the incredibly small inventory was a turn off. Diablo 4 looks interesting, but the MTX/cosmetics look a little forced for my interest.
Torchlight 2 is great, and while I have played it a lot, I haven't really clicked with the classes.
Path of Exile 1 and 2 seem WAY beyond me.
Any other suggestions?
Any chance we can get more uses for Marks of War?
I have bottomless marks of war and nothing to spend them on :( Makes the extra % you get from doing the bossing achievements feel kind of useless.
Should I get Diablo 4 if I just want to play the main campaign and be done?
I generally like this style of game, especially Grim Dawn, but all the talk about seasons and stuff seems a little confusing?
I believe this game has just a standard single player campaign. Should I buy the game if I really plan on just playing through that, and maybe starting a new character here and there?
