Making white friends feels like sitting next to a ticking time bomb

I don’t know if this will make sense to everyone, but as I get older, I find it harder and harder to make white friends. I always have this inner fear that they might be closet racist or ignorant.

It feels like a ticking time bomb like sooner or later, they’re bound to say something completely out-of-line without realizing it, make an insensitive joke, or ask a weird question. And honestly, I just don't have the energy to educate people on microaggressions anymore.

We’re in 2026 with all the resources and technology available, there’s really no excuse to be this uninformed. Certain comments just shouldn't happen anymore. No, you can’t ask me if I unbraid my hair every night and redo it every morning, or if I can get tan... just NO 💀

The worst part is when it happens with someone I actually like it ruins the whole connection. Over time, it’s only gotten worse. It feels like the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland is constantly standing behind them, mocking me and saying, "Just wait, it's going to happen."

how to recognize intuition ?

I tend not to trust my gut feeling because it's usually not based on anything concrete, so I feel like I'm judging people unfairly.

But I always realize too late that I should have listened to myself.

How to recognize intuition ?

Is the universe ragebaiting me right now or am I overreacting?

Imagine you’ve had a friend for a long time. You’re not in the same class, but you’re still just as close.
Your friend is in the class of a former friend/acquaintance of yours, who first judged them badly but you introduced them, showed their good and bad qualities, and they quickly ended up liking each other.

The three of you start hanging out together. But one day you have an argument with your friend over something and both of them stop talking to you (even though the argument had nothing to do with the third person). You’d gotten along well with this third person until then, even if you were never that close.
But overnight, once the argument happened, the third person went completely silent on you too, and instead of the friendly looks you used to exchange when passing each other, now you get a look of contempt.

It’s a pretty classic situation.
Now add one detail: the third person has the exact same first name as you, but is your total opposite in every way: physically, mentally, intellectually.

How would you feel?

Personally sometimes I feel like life is ragebaiting me

french curls with fur boots

Do you think these two match together? I feel like they don’t… I’ve been wanting to try french curls for a change (I always do twisted island braids) but I don’t want it to look weird with my new fur boots helpp 😭

UdeM Interior Design worth it? Any alternatives?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently in my last year of high school in France and I’ve been planning to study in Montreal after graduation it’s been a goal of mine since middle school.

My main criteria: a French-speaking university with an interior design program, where I can have a real university experience (campus life, student housing, etc)

I had UdeM in mind from the start, but the more research I do, the more negative reviews I come across, which is starting to worry me. I’m wondering if there are alternatives out there but it feels like UdeM might be the only one that checks all my boxes.

Do you have any experience with UdeM’s interior design program specifically? Or any alternatives you’d suggest?

Thanks in advance!
