From this single image and post came a shared universe that continues to spark the imagination and inspire so many.

Whether you love the Kane Pixels Universe, the Extended Lore, the original concept or another iteration, it all began with this original post and text that started it all.

And whether the person who wrote the text was Black August or someone who we will never know, we will forever be grateful to them for bringing the Backrooms into being. Something that means so much to many of us.
