Was anyone else OVER THE MOON when Bob Boilen retired? MY apologies but while I LOVER NPR Music, I absolutely detested Bob Boilen. Sure he started tiny desk (which kinda meh now), but his music opinions were super pretentious - always choosing obscure noise to seem edgy and cool - like Brian Eno, which isnt music it’s just noise that my 2 year old can also make on their speak and spell. He was always so condescending and passive/agressive bullying to Robin Hilton - poor guy, who actually has decent music taste. Plus Boilen’s actual band was really bad, had the unfortunate opportunity to see them in DC - what a bummer. Finally, anyone that dislikes Fleetwood Mac should be put on a government list. Hopefully NPR continues to reduce the amount of pretentious bully snobs in their programming! What are your thoughts? Blessings.

I love the Traveling Wilburys, but what the hell is this song?! Did Dylan write this boomer car s3x euphemisms humor song? “I’d love to drive you pickup truck and stick it where the sun dont shine.” I have to turn it off every time it comes on the radio. Do better guys, although most of these blokes have joined the 27 club.

Note, I love the Allman Bros early stuff, but everytime I hear the song lyrics I cringe into the fetal position. Song is about a hoss trying to bag a shiela and likely one half his age, but probably at an Applebees at 4pm cuz hoss gotta be in bed by 7pm to watch Vanna White. By far the pinnacle of boomer bar culture where men used to use a mixture passive aggressiveness, date rapeyness, conservativism, whineyness, machismo, and confusing mixed messaging. I dare you to read the lyrics, you wont find no clean fun, but rather need to take a shower in bleach to wash the toxic masculinity and HIV out of ye eyes.

Super intereating interview with writer Dave Eggers especially his thoughts on AI and writing. What do y’all think should AI be utilized to improve writing? Or completely avoided? Some compromise? Also who had better forehead wrinkles? Eggers or Rachel Martin?
