Does anyone else feel like Bennett is getting way too crowded? 😭

Not trying to complain or anything, but sometimes I genuinely feel like the 68-acre campus is too small for the number of students here.

Literally wherever you go, there’s a crowd — paid mess, Gobble, movie nights, lifts, lounges, cafés, sports complex, table tennis, badminton, football… pretty much everywhere 😂

The morning breakfast rush is probably the worst. Gobble gets so crowded that sometimes it feels like adding another floor would actually make sense.

Again, I’m not saying having a lively campus is a bad thing. It’s actually nice to see so many people around and so much happening. But with the current crowd, I sometimes wonder if a campus of 150 acres or so would have been much more comfortable.

Anyone else feel the same, or am I just noticing it too much? 😭

First day at Bennett and I’m already overthinking the people around me 😭

Today was my document verification at Bennett, and as a B.Tech CSE student, I spent almost the entire day meeting and talking to new people, mostly freshers.

It was actually a nice experience, but by the end of the day I found myself thinking about something a little strange — I couldn't really find anyone whose humour or way of thinking matched mine.

I had conversations with quite a few people, but many of them were either very reserved, didn't really try to continue the conversation, or we simply didn't seem to be on the same wavelength. Maybe that's completely normal when everyone is meeting for the first time, but for some reason I ended up taking it more seriously than I probably should have. 😭

I also tend to observe people quite closely. Sometimes, within a few minutes of talking to someone, I start getting an idea of their personality and whether our personalities would actually click. So maybe I'm just overanalysing people instead of giving things enough time.

Still, it made me wonder whether I'll actually find a good peer group here — people who are genuinely curious, have a good sense of humour, can have interesting conversations and aren't afraid to initiate one.

Has anyone else felt something similar during their first interaction with the Bennett crowd, or am I simply overthinking this way too much?

Looking to Build a Serious CSE Freshers Community (Coding, DSA & Growth)

Hey everyone! I'm joining Bennett University this year as a B.Tech CSE fresher, and I'm looking to create a small community of like-minded students who are genuinely serious about coding and making the most of college.

The idea is to have an Instagram or Telegram group focused mainly on DSA, development, coding resources, hackathons, internships, contests, projects, and keeping each other accountable. Of course, we'll have casual conversations once in a while, but I don't want it to become just another dead or meme-filled group after a few days.

If you're someone who wants to stay consistent, learn together, and build a strong coding culture from day one, I'd love to have you onboard. DM me if you're interested, and if enough people are up for it, I'll create the group before classes begin.

Thank You.

Anyone Looking for a Roommate? (11th August Reporting)

Hey! I'll be reporting to Bennett on 11th August and I'm looking for a roommate. I would be pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science.

Just looking for someone who's hygienic, serious about studies (at least most of the time 😅), and interested in coding or tech. I don't mind having fun, but I'd prefer someone who respects each other's space, isn't too loud or distracting, and is easy to live with.

Also, I'd be more comfortable with someone who's not into alcohol, drugs, or unnecessary relationship drama. A good sense of humor is a huge plus—we'll probably be sharing a room for a year, so it's better if we can laugh at random stuff too.

If this sounds like you, drop me a DM!

Best time to play badminton at Bennett? 🏸

I'll be joining Bennett this year and was wondering—what's the best time to play badminton without having to wait too long for a court?

Also curious to know how active the badminton community is.

What should a fresher do in the 10 days between orientation and classes?🤔🤔

Before academic classes begin on the 21st, we've got around 10 days after orientation to settle in, and I want to make the most of that time instead of just staying in my room.

Seniors, if you were a fresher again, how would you spend those days? What are the best places to explore on campus, the food spots that are actually worth trying, the sports or activities you'd recommend, and any hidden gems or campus hacks that every fresher should know?

I'm planning to spend those first few days exploring the campus, trying out different food spots, playing a few sports, and just getting familiar with the place before the semester gets busy. If anyone else is planning something similar or shares similar interests—coding, sports, exploring new places, or just good conversations—you're more than welcome to join.

Looking forward to your suggestions! 🚀
