No experience = No job

I can see why so many people lie on their CV, having no experience is a major red flag to employers especially for grad/junior roles which are meant to be for people who lack experience lol

Is virtual work experience worth doing for my CV if I have no relevant experience in Accounting?

As an accounting graduate with no relevant experience, I was wondering if websites like Forage and Sprints that provide job task simulations are of any benefit. I feel like finance firms don't care about experience if it is not directly related to the job, so putting in something like volunteering or stocking shelves would be worthless imo

Is it much harder to have a social life in your 20s if you didn't maintain friendships from school/uni?

I feel like I could've done much better at maintaining these relationships because outside of education, making close friends at work seems unlikely. I know hobbies are a good place to meet people, but often it seems like most people have closer friendships to people from their childhood. Is this just how it is for most people, or do people completely reset their social lives past their mid 20s?

How to adjust to post graduation life?

Just had graduation yesterday, and it was surprisingly emotional. Last time I'd be surrounded by young people at the same age and mostly similar personalities as me, and I feel like I didn't make the most of it. I know life doesn't end after this, but socially it feels like the peak has been reached and I didn't truly enjoy it. If anyone else went through similar, how long did it take you to come to terms with this and find social fulfillment after being exposed to an environment like that compared to full time work?

Are a lot of students forced to go to their graduation??

I feel like I had no choice and my friend was insisting he wouldn't go, but his parents have forced to him to go like I predicted lol. Graduation can be fairly expensive and underwhelming too, so I can' see the appeal for most students other than taking nice photos with the family etc

Do you enjoy accounting?

I've recently graduated from studying Accounting and Finance, and now looking at entering the field. Just wondering from those who have experience in accounting, how do you find the work-life balance to be like, social aspect, opportunities etc so I can know what to expect to decide if I still want to pursue a career in accounting. Thanks in advance to anyone who contributes!

If they rematched, how much of a chance does Wardley actually have of beating Dubois?

Lets face it, outside of the two knockdowns, Wardley got completely schooled and battered. If anything, those knockdowns seem to wake Dubois up and he turned it right up on Wardley. He looked way out of his depth in all departments (except heart) and kept looking for the big overhand right which Dubois adjusted to. I also saw an interview from Ben on IFL and he just didn't seem comfortable when asked about the status of that rematch. I have doubts that this rematch happens next tbh, and I feel if Wardley was to have a winning gameplan he'd need to switch trainers because that's twice Ben's fighters have lost to Dubois in pretty devastating fashion

Is unemployment awaiting any one else after graduating?

I'm lucky I can go back to my parents so no financial pressure, but there's no real structure anymore 😭

Accounting and Finance graduate

I haven't secure a grad scheme for September, so just wondering if my best bet is to apply for the next cycle or stick to finding entry level jobs or just getting any job to find experience a(s I only have virtual work experience on my curriculum vitae really). Also, are there any specific job board anyone would recommend that is particularly helpful? TIA

Is it harder to make friends as you get older?

I feel like it's easy to meet new people, but actually pretty hard to make close friendships. It seems most people are friendly but have their own bubble of people they knew from young or don't seem too interested in making close friendships, especially once your in early 20s having left uni etc. Feels like I should've prioritised maintaining my school friendships tbh lol
