I am gonna try to make it as short as I can. But still with enough details.

My boyfriend is a huge DnD fan. 7yrs ago he played it with his friends for 4yrs straight. Sadly they all went their seperate ways...

I am so to say still new to DnD, played it for a short while couple yrs ago. Loved it, but also friends went seperate ways.

We moved to a different country together, and for the last 2 years he is telling me how he wants to play again (me also). But didn't manage to find somebody to play with...

But couple months ago we befriended a girl. So ofc I asked her last week if she wants to play with us, she never did DnD (she is also into the fantasy stuff, etc...). She said yes. And my bf wants me to be the DM, no problem. For the 7 days I built a world, maps, etc.

Becouse the girl is new to it I gave her some tips, "rules and so on... for the game. We want to play the first part of the game tommorow. Told her to get her character ready (apperance, background, some small skills and quirks, you know, the important parts).

Yesterday in the evning she sent me her character visualy and some parts of background. But she also put levels, abilities, and some other parts she actually shouldn't put.

I told her in the nicest way possibel that I am gonna give them sheets that i already printed out, and that we are not starting caracters on that kind of level. As it's introductions and beginning of the story. She didn't like that part, and that she is not gonna do it again. Neather draw or write (didn't ask her to, just told her what suits her better, she can do). Also I told her me and my bf are going to help her around the game as she is new to it. But I just have a feeling she wants her caracter to be the main caracter and that the story evolves around it. Myb I am wrong, going to see tommorow how it goes.

But as I really want to play the game with my bf, could I make a narative where he is the only one playing if this does not work out?

What are your opinions on it?
