I work in the arts and have recently been pondering the crossover between art and my side love, fragrances. Have seen a bit of stuff online by artists Sissel Tolaa and Anicka Yi who work with scent in their art. However I live in a pretty isolated city (Perth, Australia, what up gang) and have no first hand experience. And it’s obviously something images can’t quite capture when I research online!
When it comes to multi sensory artwork, touch is something we can almost ‘see’ through the screen by judging texture, and sound obviously travels digitally. I’m guessing part of the reason scent art hasn’t had the sensory moment it could have is due to a world that privileges the visual and the instagrammable.
Has anyone been lucky enough to have any scent art experiences and how was it?? I’d love to know. My dream would be to commission a scent artwork!

The doiley and lily of the valley notes are captured really well by MM Lazy Sunday Morning but looking for the speculaas / dutch allspice and (bitter, no sugar!) coffee notes. Thanks!
