Is this creeper an issue for my tree?

I was thinking about something to plant around this weeiping old locust I have in the corner of my yard when I noticed this ivy. I think its Virginia creeper? And its grown up the backside of the tree. Not sure how long that took. My question is. What if anything should I do about this creeper? Also I dont want to get rid of the tree. I'd like for it to remain happy and healthy!

Help me identify this weed

Not sure if they are the same now that I'm looking at the photos up close.

I'm not talking about the clover...

Edit: Thank you for educating me that it isn't clover but wood sorrel! ☘️ and thank you for identifying this as goldenrod. I will leave it and wait to see its flowers should they grace us 😀

What are we doing for prayer mat storage?

Mine are just piled on top of my kids toys in the living room. I would like some seasoned tips. Need something elegant and functional. I dont really have a lot of space to work with unfortunately. Any ideas welcome. Jazakallah.

Most unhinged order at Tim's??

Especially if you are an employee. What am I missing out on?

I’ve been doing a French Vanilla half Coffee since 2009. Then about two years ago, my sister introduced me to the Red Eye iced coffee... game changer! Then, just the other day, I saw someone order a grilled cheese croissant with cream cheese, tomato, lettuce... ok, I didn’t even know you could customize that!

So, what’s your wildest Tim’s order or creative hack? I need to know!

Panjeeri

I am not Pakistani but married to one. My mother in law made panjeeri for me when I delivered my babies. It was so delicious and one of my favorite memories from post partum days... I am well beyond that now but lately have been craving it again. My mother in law used to say to eat a spoonful with some hot milk in the morning because it helps with clearing out the uterus And is good for milk production.

Im just wondering if I can eat it even if I'm not breastfeeding/post partum. I miss it so darn much 😂

Martial Arts for Kids

Looking for recommendations for martial arts programs for kids in Milton.

What age can kids realistically start? Which martial arts are be the best fit for young children? What's your favourite martial arts community?

I would like for my girls to build confidence, discipline, and self-defence. And obviously be fully capable of kicking some serious ass.

Bonus points if there are good competitive or long-term opportunities available as they get older....

TIA!

What did I do wrong?

I planted this panicle hydrangea last fall in the alleyway between my house and the neighbour's house. It gets a lot of sun. This year it looks like half of it survived? What happened to it?

Looking for feedback on Continuing Studies micro credentials offered by UofT

Hello U of T students/alumni...

Just wondering if anyone here has taken the "Foundations of Technical Leadership" micro-credential for industry professionals offered by the Institute for Studies in Transdisciplinary Engineering and Practice (ISTEP)?

I'm a full time working engineer (100% on-site) and mother of young children, so I'm trying to get a realistic sense of the time commitment before I apply.

I'd like to hear about your experience...

  • What was your professional background going into the program?
  • How many hours per week did you typically spend on coursework and assignments?
  • How flexible was the schedule, particularly for those of you balancing work and family commitments?
  • Did you find the content valuable and applicable to your career?
  • Looking back, was it worth the investment of time and money?

Any insights, lessons learned, or advice would be greatly appreciated.

TIA!

CPD Recommendations for Aerospace Engineers

Hi all,

I'm a licensed industrial engineer in Ontario Canada working in aerospace manufacturing and I'm looking to complete 16 hours of CPD this year.

My work focuses on aircraft maintenance program development, reliability analysis, regulatory compliance, data analytics, and decision support systems in an aerospace OEM environment. My employer supports some professional development, but at this point in the year I've likely missed registration windows for many structured courses.

I'm curious what others have found valuable for CPD hours especially if you work in aerospace... online courses, webinars, technical reading, conferences, podcasts, or other self-study activities?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
