Indie playlists which are not acoustic guitar-heavy?

I’m currently on the hunt for good indie songs to listen to. But every playlist I search on Spotify has majority songs of the same type - Acoustic guitar heavy, soft vocal songs about the same kind of things. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but I would love to have recommendations (songs or playlists) which are a deviation from this pattern.

Maybe I’m not looking in the right places, so would love to know if I can do something different. Looking forward to your recommendations!

How many have watched this show?

It’s crazy how a show made almost 15 years ago was so accurate with its predictions. Be it an all-seeing AI, or whistleblowers against the government angle (they did the Snowden incident before the actual thing).

Not to mention the absolute badassery of Jim Caviezel and the terrific acting by Michael Emerson, this show is still an all-time favorite for me. How many of you have watched it?

Decided to cook after a long long time

Maid celebrating Sundays. Bored of Swiggying. Toh socha chalo thoda revision kar lete hain.

However, rice got overcooked. Paneer cubes jal gaye thode. But taste was ok so all ends well I guess. I feel I’ll need to cook more regularly though, because I’m getting rusty without practice 🥲

Finally completed a little quest of my own today !

Bought the complete edition on a whim at a bookstore this February. And after 4 months of reading which started casually, then turned furious, and yet casual again (because I didn’t want it to end), I finally understand what the hype was all about !

The beautifully vivid descriptions of the Fellowship’s journey almost makes you feel like you’re walking with them. Not to mention the four Hobbits are such likeable protagonists that you cannot help but root for them. I usually give away my books to friends and relatives, but this is one trilogy I will definitely be keeping and re-reading :)

Should I try reading ‘The Hobbit’ later? I’ve heard it has a lighter tone than the main trilogy, but would love to know your thoughts.

Is being Manglik THIS big of a deal?

I’ve been looking for AM matches via apps and my parents via knowns. I am supposedly Manglik, and the number of times I’ve been rejected for this has moved from amusing to irritating now. Majority of the profiles I view have 15/16 or 9/10 matching qualities, except one (guess which one). I have had calls and interests turn frosty later once they found out about it. And a prospective girl’s parent refused to even share his daughter’s biodata with my dad once he found out I’m manglik.

I thought getting older meant the effect gets cancelled anyway, but sometimes it’s very frustrating because I see the same 8-9 profiles everytime I add the maanglik filter. And atp I have mentally resigned myself to be rejected whenever I open the profile of someone I feel would be a good match.

Maybe I’m overthinking, and I still believe there are many out there who don’t care about this stuff. But I was honestly surprised to see a criteria like this so prevalent. Have you seen these kind of cases too?
