Honestly, I don’t understand what’s going on with Meta Ads anymore.

I run an online store that generated €1.5 million in revenue in 2 years. The product works, it solves a real problem, and I’ve had excellent results with Meta in the past. Yet for about a year now, I haven’t been able to get back to consistent profitability.

And it’s not like I’m sitting back doing nothing. I create new creatives almost every day, test new angles, new campaigns, different audiences, different formats… I spend a huge amount of time trying to figure out what actually works today.

But what completely blows my mind is how volatile the results are.

I can launch a campaign and get a 7 ROAS on the first day, then the next day it drops to 1.2, without making any major changes. And sometimes the performance suddenly comes back again.

That’s exactly why I don’t think the problem is simply the product. If my product didn’t work, I wouldn’t be having days with a 7 ROAS.

I completely understand that performance can fluctuate, competition can increase, CPMs can go up, and some periods can simply be worse than others. But seeing performance go from 7 ROAS to 1.2 ROAS within 24 hours, and then randomly recover again, is extremely difficult to understand.

And please, don’t just tell me “let it run for 15 days so the algorithm can learn.” I’ve already done that several times. I’ve let campaigns run long enough to see whether they would stabilize.

The result? The only thing that stabilized was the amount of money I was spending. 😅

After a year of testing, analyzing, changing things and trying to get things back on track, I’m honestly very close to giving up completely.

I’d really like to hear from people who have experienced exactly the same thing:

Have you ever had a period where your Meta Ads were performing really well and then suddenly deteriorated for several months? And for those of you who managed to get through it, what did you actually change to get back to consistent profitability?

I run a Shopify store and I'm currently spending €50/day on Meta ads. My campaign is profitable (ROAS above 4), but I'm losing a lot of visitors between Add to Cart and Checkout.

Here are my numbers from the last 6 days:

• 966 website visitors
• 73 Add to Carts
• 23 Reached Checkout
• 17 Purchases

What do you think could be causing such a big drop between Add to Cart and Checkout?

If you've experienced something similar, what changes had the biggest impact on increasing your Add to Cart → Checkout conversion rate?

Je gère une boutique Shopify et je dépense actuellement 50 €/jour en publicités sur Meta. Ma campagne est rentable (ROAS supérieur à 4), mais je perds beaucoup de visiteurs entre le moment où ils ajoutent au panier et le paiement.

Voici mes chiffres des 6 derniers jours :

• ajouts au panier

• passages à la caisse

Que pensez-vous qui pourrait causer une si grande chute entre l'ajout au panier et le paiement ?

Si vous avez vécu quelque chose de similaire, quels changements ont eu le plus grand impact sur l'augmentation de votre taux de conversion Ajout au panier → Passage à la caisse ?

J’ai même pensé à supprimer l’étape du panier : dès que le client ajoute un produit, il serait directement redirigé vers le paiement.

Pour ma part, je cible déjà l'ensemble des États-Unis avec un ciblage large (sans ciblage par centres d'intérêt), mais mes CPM restent très élevés. Avez-vous rencontré le même problème ? Si oui, quelles modifications ou stratégies vous ont permis de réduire vos CPM ?

Whenever I put multiple creatives in the same ad set, it feels like Meta quickly pushes only one or two of them while giving very little budget to the others.

Do you think it's better to trust the algorithm, or to use an ABO campaign with the same budget for each creative so they all get a fair chance to prove themselves?
