Do you think demo versions are necessary for games?

I've prepared a demo on itch. Do you still think game demos are a good idea? Do people discover the game's appeal through demos, or decide to buy it afterwards?

What do you think of a game where you record paranormal activity without moving?

The more you blend into the environment and hide, the more likely paranormal activity is to occur.

If you move carelessly, it will introduce noise into the observation device.

So you have to investigate without moving, but what do you think of this gameplay? Wouldn't you rather be able to move freely even at night?

Almost finished with my J-Horror game "ANOMALOGIST"! Looking for Beta Testers.

Hey everyone!

My Godot 4 J-horror game, ANOMALOGIST: Inumaki Manor, is almost at the finish line! I’m looking for closed beta testers (~80 min playtime) to help with the final polish!

I just put together this trailer and would love your honest feedback: What do you think?

Quick Overview

  • The Concept: You aren't an exorcist. You're an investigator using modern devices (Trifield meters, Spirit Boxes, UV lights) to log and digitize spectral anomalies.
  • Setting: An abandoned mansion haunted by a dark past tracing back to the Taisho era (1910s–1920s).

Perks & How to Join (2 separate forms!)

Complete the beta & submit feedback to get your name in the In-Game End Credits!

  1. Fill out the [Application Form] 👉 https://forms.gle/FRfjS6bofB4k9sun9
  2. Receive your Steam Beta Key via DM & play.
  3. Send your thoughts via the [Feedback Form] (provided with your key).

(Non-spoiler social posts like "The sound design was eerie!" are super welcome!)

If you like ghost-hunting gadgets or J-horror, I'd love to hear your thoughts. What do you think of the concept?

A horror game where you induce and record paranormal phenomena yourself.

We are developing the horror game "ANOMALOGIST: Inumaki Manor"

In the daytime segment, you investigate the mansion and obtain items. In the nighttime segment, you use those items to induce and record paranormal phenomena during solo testing. *Some phenomena occur randomly.

A Steam store page is also being prepared.
