[GIVEAWAY] 3 more SAVEN keys - tag someone who needs this

still got 3 SAVEN keys and I want them to go to people who'll actually play it. So if you've got a friend who loves horror and you think they'd get something out of this, tag them.

Tell me why you think they'd like it. They should reply too if they're interested. If they get the key and play it, let me know what they think. that feedback is honestly more useful than anything else.

trailer if you want to see it: https://youtu.be/flZrEkxuRac

,if you're interested, just drop a comment and let me know. if you could wishlist it on steam that would help us out a lot, but no pressure.

Dissertation Survey on Alien: Isolation

Hey Guys!

I'm doing my dissertation on how fear is created in horror games with a case study on alien: isolation for a game art degree.

It would mean a lot and really help me if people took the 5 mins to fill in this survey.

I'll leave the link below if anyone has the time ❤️

Hi everyone!

I’m solo-developing a cinematic platformer called DOSMIC.

It’s a wordless struggle where a boy must navigate a bizarre world of cosmic horrors to save a girl.

What do you think of this kind of atmosphere? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

What do you think is the ideal length for an indie horror game?

Some horror games work incredibly well as short experiences lasting between 2 and 4 hours that maintain the intensity throughout, whilst others aim to create a more measured atmosphere and end up as much longer narrative experiences... I prefer games that take their time with exploration and building mystery and tension, but I also understand that if a game drags on too long, the effect wears off.

What do you think?

Ciao a tutti!

New Silent Hill 2 tattoo

Just got this today, really happy with it!! The font is the same as the back of the Vinyl of the SH2 remake.

My dad was 27 when the original SH2 released, and I grew up watching him play it. I was 27 when the remake came out, and he watched me play it. He passed away last year, right after we played it together one more time. We love sharing horror games together and this one maybe means the most. I honor him with this piece.

I released a demo for my horror game about driving at night while sleep-deprived

It's called CH13: Rest Stop, a narrative-driven psychological horror game set in early 2000s Poland.

It tells the story of Wojciech, a new father who hasn't had a full night's sleep in months.
After a long work meeting, he should have stayed at the hotel and left at dawn. But his wife had come down with a cold, and the thought of leaving her alone with their daughter didn’t feel right. When the main road is closed after an accident, Wojciech is forced onto a narrow forest detour he has never taken before.

I can't believe I finnaly managed to release a demo! It would mean a lot if you checked it out -

Challenge: Help us develop puzzles for our tape recorder horror game!

Hey r/HorrorGames and fellow horror fans!

We're developing On Tape << Rewind, a psychological horror game where you solve a mystery through cassette tapes and audio manipulation. You arrive at a physicist's abandoned cabin in the Arctic to uncover his fate - and obsession.

The core mechanics:

  • Play recordings on a dusty cassette recorder
  • Search the cabin for clues
  • Use analogue tools to manipulate audio frequencies and reveal hidden messages
  • Each tape is a story fragment (research logs, old broadcasts, medical journals, etc.)

Here's where we need your creativity: We're designing puzzles that leverage these mechanics, and we'd love puzzle ideas that feel fresh and leverage audio in ways players haven't seen before.

Some examples we're exploring:

  • Layered recordings where you need to isolate specific frequencies to hear a hidden voice
  • Tapes that play at wrong speeds or backwards
  • Audio "glitches" that contain clues when examined closely
  • Morse code or other encoding hidden in static

What would genuinely creep you out? What audio-based puzzle would make you feel like you're losing your mind trying to solve it?

We're in active development and planning to expand our puzzle suite - your ideas might end up in the game. Drop your thoughts below!
