Are the "Poppy Playtime" games worth playing?

I know these games have been out for a long time now and a fifth one released this year.

Are any of the games worth playing? I've heard some decent things about the first three chapters at least. But of those of you that played these games, what do you think?

How do you deal with the hypocrisy of some "Christian's" at church?

Generally, I enjoy going to church but I can't stand how hypocritical some "church people" can be.

They'll act all pious and Christian-like in church and then in their normal daily lives they'll rant about illegal immigrants, democrats, and LGBTQ people on Facebook. I hate it and it makes me not want to go to church just so I can avoid these people.

How do you deal with this kind of hypocrisy from other "church people"?

Do black people still code switch even when they live in majority-black cities?

Lately I've been researching code switching and it got me thinking: do black people still code switch even when they're the majority in their area?

Like, in Detroit and Birmingham where the black population is 70-80 percent, would black people even NEED to code switch? If you're 80 percent of the population, you're technically the dominant culture in that area, so would there be any need to code switch to fit in like in black-minority places?

Would ya'll play a Marvel Insomniac Game about Ghost Rider?

I feel like a Ghost Rider video game would be so cool. I've always wanted to play as a badass flaming skull with a chain as a weapon and turn anything into dust.

Not to mention that there's a movie starring Ryan Gosling coming out in a few years, so from a financial standpoint it's not a bad idea to make a Ghost Rider game

How would you guys feel about it?

What are some video games with "unconventional" protagonists?

So I just got done playing GTA 4 today and while the game itself has aged, I thought Niko was a great character, and he's the reason why I pushed through the tedious parts of that game. I feel like his character is a perspective that's seen in video games often.

Does anyone have any recommendations for video games with more "unconventional" protagonists like Niko?

Confession: I sometimes envy people who don't care about being bald

Just to preface, I'm not saying I envy BEING bald. What I envy is how some bald people live stress-free not caring about what other people think of their appearance. It seems like a much easier existence than constantly stressing and worrying about every follicle. I wish I thought that way sometimes

What should Greta Gerwig do about the "Susan problem" in The Last Battle in the upcoming Narnia movies?

With the reboot series coming, it makes me wonder what Gerwig should do about Susan's character in the last battle.

In the novel the last battle, Lewis said she didn't return to Narnia because she's "a tight too keen on growing up" and "she's interested in nothing nowadays except nylons and lipstick and invitations".

So what should she do about the source material in "The Last Battle", and how faithful should she be to it?

Spider-Man 3 is a good movie and does not deserve the hate

I feel like Spider-Man 3 is what happens when comic book movies fully embrace the cheese of the comics. You could say that some of the parts in this movie were campy, but in my opinion the "campy" elements were ironically some of the most memorable parts of the film, and even the trilogy. I feel like it's a refreshing break from the formulas and cliches we usually see in superhero movies these days.

When I first saw the Jazz club scene I laughed my ass off. It was pretty well choreographed too. What was funny about the "bully maguire" alter ego, was that the black suit didn't give him any special lady powers, it just made Peter THINK he was a badass. He's was really just a cornball, but he acted like what he thought a "cool" lady killer would look like.

Most of the other parts of the movie were good as well. I liked Sandman and thought he was a sympathetic villain. Eddie Brock and Harry were alright, but they felt underbaked because they weren't in the film much. Overall, good movie though. Yeah it's not as good as the first two, but its differences make it stand out, and memorable. And just because the story is less focused and refined doesn't make it bad

I just played GTA 4 for the first time after beating GTA 5 and RDR2. Here are my thoughts:

The positives:

• I love the characters and main story in GTA 4. Niko isn't a protagonist I'd usually like, but I empathized with his feelings and struggles as an immigrant, and it isn't a perspective that's seen often in video games. Some of the side characters were hilarious. I laughed my ass off when Brucie banged his head into a wall.

•The graphics obviously are dated, but for the "gritty" story and setting it's in, the dark and smudgy graphics mostly work alright. I played this game on Xbox Series X, though I can't imagine playing this game on a original PS3 and an old TV.

Neutral:

•The gunplay is ALRIGHT for a 2008 game. I didn't love it or hate it. But I liked the ragdoll physics where characters would stumble when they got shot.

The Bad:

The driving. I know some people like it because they think it's more realistic, but I can't remember driving a car in real life that handles like cars in GTA 4. MAYBE a car manufactured before 1980 would handle that way.

Thankfully it's super easy to lose the cops in this game, otherwise I probably couldn't stand it. It's also a plus that there a lot of cabs. I mostly fast travel with cabs because of the "boat" driving physics, and the fact that I just don't think it's fun.

RATINGS:

Story and Characters: 10/10

Gameplay: 5-6/10

Overall rating:
7.5 out of 10. Pretty good game

Why aren't there more rom-coms about relationships between a younger man and an attractive older woman?

I (23M) just watched "The Graduate" with Dustin Hoffman the other day and I thought it was excellent. As someone who is a college senior myself, I found the main character, Benjamin's, feelings about his future super relatable, and Anne Bancroft was great (and hot) as Mrs. Robinson.

It makes me wonder why more rom-com movies don't use the younger man-attractive older woman dynamic. I think it's super interesting.

What's a genuinely great scene in an otherwise bad movie?

My vote is for the first transformation scene in Ghost Rider with Nicolas Cage. The movie in general was pretty bad and the dialogue was super corny, but I frequently rewatch this scene over and over again.

The way Nicolas Cage at first writhes in agony and then eventually cackles in maniacal laughter when the Ghost Rider takes control makes this scene awesome, in my opinion.

What do you think about the first transformation scene from Ghost Rider, and what's your favorite scene from a bad movie?

How do people go to college full time AND have a full time job?

Seriously, I think having 18 credit hours is a lot in and of itself. How do people do that while working over 40 hours a week and doing homework and studying?

The early 2010's was the worst time of the twenty first century for pop music

I remember in sometime in the late 2000's and early 2010's pop music started to sound like electro-pop and club music. I think Lady Gaga and The Black Eyed Peas had something to do with it. A lot of people say that pop music is bad now but I genuinely think that the early 2010's takes the shit cake.

LMFAO, Kesha, some of the Black Eyed Peas music, Andy Grammar, Far East Movement (Rocketeer), Ylvis (What Does The Fox Say?), Silento (Whip and Nae Nae), Pitbull, Flo Rida, Taio Cruz, all of that shit was so bad and I don't know how people listened to it lol. On top of that there was this annoying hipster pop like Lumineers and Mumford and Sons that made me wanna blow my eardrums out.

Sure, every year has bad music but in the early 2010's it was REALLY BAD. But what did ya'll think about the music back then?

Does anybody else constantly lie about your college degree to other people?

So, I'm on summer break at my college right now and when people ask about my degree I tend to lie about it most of the time

Right now I have a bachelor's degree in general studies. Before that I switched my major 3 times (Nursing, Computer Science, Dietetics) and it didn't work out. So, I just figured screw it. I'll just get a degree and graduate and move on with my life.

But when people (frequently strangers and loose acquaintances) ask me at college or my hometown what I'm graduating in I usually tell them that I'm graduating as a registered dietitian, even though I'm not.

Just to preface, I haven't lied to EVERYONE. I've told my family and a handful of other people what my real major is. But if it's a stranger or loose acquaintance? I almost always lie.

Whenever I tell people I'm graduating in general studies they almost have NOTHING positive to say to me. So what's the point of telling the truth? If people don't have anything good to say to me I'd rather just lie about it.

Has anyone else ever done the same thing?
