Does this SS infantry cap look original?

This cap came from the estate of SS Unsturmfürher Willi Minnert (who I included records of). Also it comes from an auction house that I have heard great things about regarding WW2/WW1 militaria. Although I would like some more opinions as the Totenkopf looks too shiny to be original. Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated!
