STILL HOPEFUL

My fines are building up day by day and it's becoming hectic without finding a job yet. For those who haven't seen my previous posts I'm looking for live out housemaid job, cleaning and any guest related jobs also appreciated. At this point, I need food, rent, transport for tarmacking and it's becoming really stressful

Part time jobs are also welcome to help me get by. I'm very good at my job, attentive to detail, vibrant, I keep a positive attitude and professionalism. I'm fluent in English, both in speech and writing. I'm honestly losing it and I don't know what to do next if this doesn't work out. I'm Kenyan.

I no longer talk with my family because I don't know what to tell them. I feel stuck. I'm reaching out to any well wishers and those that have the grace to help with genuine opportunities. Thankyou for reading.

TIPS FOR LEGIT OPPORTUNITIES.

Hello. I've posted severally about how I need a job but seeing that we are all anonymous here, it becomes difficult to know when an opportunity is legit. I am new here and I'd appreciate info on what to look out for.

I am still in search for a job. Several people asked me to send my CV but never responded after.

I'm looking for live out housemaid job, be it permanent or part time to help me get by. Food, rent, transport etc. I'm currently in Al Satwa. I'm Kenyan with 3yrs of experience as a housemaid/Cleaner both in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

My grace period expired while I was still looking for a job as I was suspended without notice (Myself and others) during the war. I know it's been a while and some people may feel like I'm using that situation as an excuse but I've been really trying without any fruits.

So please, if anyone has a legit opportunity for me to make money without giving false hopes, I'm down. I will appreciate tips to avoid scams. Thankyou.

LONG, INTERESTING POST ALERT!

Not to pry but paying someone aed1000 at this moment is harassment. Speaking from experience, I was in a company where I got paid less than aed1000 for the first 6 months. (I understand they had to take back their visa and ticket money) As a live in housemaid, the amount of work I did for that money was insane!

I remember there's a house I went to (it was a house-house company) and on the first day, i was given my schedule. It was a big villa. Apart from the usual cleaning tasks, I was also told I'll be washing two cars everyday. I was hesitant. I said I donno how to wash cars and it's not in my job description. She seemed disappointed but went ahead to show me how to. At this point, I had stayed at the hostel for several days and I was tired. I had to earn money. The more you stay at the accommodation, the less you earn as your salary gets deducted even if it's not your fault.

I agreed instead of going back to the hostel just because I cannot clean cars. I was eager. Ready to learn.

My job was supposed to start at 7am, where is wash the cars first, then proceed to house cleaning which came with specific instructions and me being detail oriented, I had no problem with that. It was during summer.

I realized by 7am, the sun was already too hot for me and I decided to be waking up at 6am so I don't struggle so much with the heat at the garage. There were four cars, I alternated two by two( even on their non working days, I had to.)

To cut the long story short, (lemmie know if you want me to share my experiences) they overworked me. At the end of that month, after doing so much work, cooking included, dealing with fatigue, working sick days, the company paid me AED 648!! I was so devastated and decided that I'll not wash cars again!! It was taking all my energy even before I could start cleaning the house. They eventually took me back to the company and claimed that I refused to work. (People I worked for even during my off days)

I later came to learn that they were paying 3500 to the company which they thought I was receiving fully and they kinda like had to punish me so their money doesn't go to waste. Sad!!

I have a lot to say but bottom line, it's not pride, but with this economy and all the expenses, 1000 no longer makes sense even for a housemaid. We do a loooot!!!! Thankyou for reading.

Also, what are your thoughts?

ANY HOPES?

Looking for opportunities.

I came to Dubai for a housemaid job in 2025 under a house to house company. This year around March, the company decided to cancel me but when one of the ladies I worked for heard that, she told them she was going to sponsor my visa before I had even signed my cancellation . The company then decided to take me back so that she could sponsor me under them ( She needed them to handle all the legal matters.) In the middle of the visa transfer, she and her family went home to the UK for what was supposed to be one week vacation but when the situation escalated here in Dubai, she decided not to come back as it was safer for her family that way. I was left stranded. The company told me to go sign my cancellation as I had no employer. Until now I've been trying to look for a job with no success. I've already entered overstay and the people with jobs are asking too much commission which I don't have. I'm very hardworking, a perfect cleaner, trustworthy, high spirited with a positive attitude. If anyone would give me a live out job it would really change my life. I can also do customer service related jobs as I am social and great at interacting with people. I have fluent English both speech and written. I also know some basic Arabic. I have 3yrs of experience. I would appreciate part time jobs too. Thankyou.

NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THE WAITING PERIOD!!

Hello fellow redditars. I recently shared my experience about how I came to Dubai last year as a housemaid, got cancelled by my company and later almost being transferred to my new boss who later relocated to the UK during the "situation" this year and left me stranded. I've now entered overstay as my efforts to find a job has bore no fruits. The waiting period is crazy. Struggling between rent, food and transport to attend interviews is not easy. I'm appealing to anyone who might be touched by my story and would want to give me a job as a housemaid, cleaner, customer service agent or any guest related jobs. I am a hardworking, jovial, good listener and detail oriented Kenyan who takes pride in my work. I am fluent in English, both written and spoken and have basic/conversational Arabic knowledge. I love singing, photography, travelling, writing and content creation. Thankyou!

ANY HOPES?

Not to be pessimistic but I honestly feel stuck. My company cancelled me without notice in April. I came to Dubai with a house to house maids company in 2025 so I basically worked with them for a year.

When one of the ladies I was working for heard about my cancellation, (The company notified my clients before me. Three of them sent me messages asking me why the company says I'm no longer their employee and I was shocked because I hadn't been notified. They loved my work and attitude and were so disappointed.) she talked to the company about taking over my visa under them as she wanted them to handle all the legal matters. They accepted and decided to take me back. (I hadn't signed my cancellation yet as I was still confused.)

In the beginning of the visa transfer, my to be employer took what was supposed to be a one week vacation to her home in the UK with her family. The situation in Dubai escalated and they decided not to come back for safety reasons which I understood but felt so frustrated.

The company then kept messaging me to go sign my cancellation because I no longer had an employer. At this time, I had already moved to a bedspace as my employer wanted me to be a live out.

Long story short, I'm now on overstay, almost four months. It's been very difficult finding a job and this situation makes it even more difficult. I'm wondering if there's someone who can take a chance on me, give me a job so I can sort out my fines before they escalate too much. I am hardworking and very good at my job.

I am not only limited to housemaid work. Given a chance, I can do customer service or guest related jobs. I'm fluent in English, both in speech and in writing and know some basic Arabic.

Basically, I'm looking for any job to sustain me because everything is crazy here with the heat, rent, food and I don't want to give up or go home because I still believe there's hope and also because there are people who look up to me.

Thankyou for taking your time to read. I appreciate any help or advice.
