Okay, so this was like many many years ago, back when I was a child. I have this vivid memory of sitting at my old kitchen counter, trying to draw Sardonyx from memory. I had completely forgotten what she looked like mostly and I forgot her name. So when I was done with the drawing, I held my drawing up in front of myself and proudly said: "I'm going to call her Tupperware!" Then when my mother told me that Tupperware was a kitchen supply, I could not stop laughing. Every time I looked at that drawing I would cackle.
I just find it so funny how everyone in the facility is collectively getting their shit rocked. LIKE I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT IT'S HILARIOUS
This is such a scummy business practice. Instead of asking for permission, your first instinct is to just dive right into the project without a green light or say so from the CREATORS OF THE GAME THEMSELVES. This is something I would expect from a third party group, not a well-known company. I can only imagine the frustration from Valve's point of view. A trusted company, known for their video game accessories, decides to infringe on your copyright and go: "Hey! Look everyone, we have a Companion Cube for the Steam Machine!!" And what is even funnier is the fact that their official response is the equivalent to a dog slinking away with its tail tucked between its legs and a pitiful expression on its face. They knew full well of what they were doing, but they decided to do it anyway. Now there is over 15,000 people heavily disappointed at the fact that they did not get the product they spent their hard-earned money pre-ordering, but also disappointment at the company. This is a terrible business practice and I honestly would not be surprised if people completely stop trusting or buying from them. (Edit, I have forgotten a few things)→ And if this was a marketing tactic, they surely have screwed themselves over. I feel as if they mulled over contacting Valve but decided against it because it would save them time from waiting for a response. Which is completely idiotic, within the time it would take for a response, they could have planned ahead so much better than just throwing caution to the wind and immediately getting on this project. The concept is amazing, do not get me wrong. BUT THIS IS NOT THE WAY YOU GO ABOUT THINGS.
I AM NOT TRYING TO CAUSE DRAMA, THIS IS INCREDIBLY SERIOUS!!!! Over a week ago, I posted my own opinion on the Portal Movie and whether it would be a good idea or not. My personal opinions did not come from a place of resentment or hatred towards anyone in particular. It was based off of information I was given, research I have done and opinions that were expressed to me. Getting into arguments or starting any unnecessary drama was never my intention and it never has been my intention. I'm taking accountability for what I have done as well as explaining what led up to this paragraph being posted. Like I already said, my intentions were not ill and my opinion did not come from a selfish place. I saw everyone talking about the movie, so I decided to do the same. Which led to what I'm about to say next. Someone has threatened to leak my personal information over an argument. That is how extreme it has gotten. This is not a joke, this is not engagement bait or sympathy bait. This is a serious problem. I have been put in danger simply due to the fact that I expressed my opinion. Which, I am not playing victim, I do admit to replying back with the same snappy energy that was directed towards me. I am not going to make myself out to be some kind of wounded animal, because having a victim complex gets you nowhere. I am beyond disgusted at this point. The fact that my life could potentially be in danger all because of a disagreement I had with someone. I expressed my worries, got into pointless arguments and this has been taken too far. I'm scared out of my mind right now. Instead this person talking it out with me, they resorted to one of the worst possible actions someone could take online towards anyone. Yes, I am in the wrong as well, but a couple of disagreements does not warrant my personal data being leaked to the public. I do not know what to do at this point.
There are 40 in total on my body, but this is discounting the necklaces and the fragile bracelets I was unable to put on because they would break if I tried. So in reality, there's 62 basically.
