Long time Oct customer.
Recently took our a lease with Oct for a Vauxhall Frontera
And this included a free install of the Oct EV charger.
Just getting to grips with charging and unsure if the app is just bit silly or if there is an issue that i need to give Oct a call about.
I have it set up to top by with 80% by 6am.
Ideally i want it to top up TO 80% and not by 80%
Is there no option for this ?
I'm getting a warning some nights saying charging has failed.
but its not clear as to why.
I think what it's trying to say is that it could not add 80% as there wasn't a need or capacity to add 80%
Is it just the app being special ?
the car is charging just fine.
but you know how some of us are...

My pool pump (of unknown age) has started to make some annoying grumblings.
Apart from the sound it was working just fine.
I have replaced it with a cheap mass produced unit and now realize the new unit is utter tat.
Less flow, less pressure and just as noisey.
I'd like to service my old unit and replace the front/rear bearings.
but all worlds super computers can't seem to find much information.
So i will have to google like it was the 2020's all over again.
The unit is an Onga 462E which i understand were an Australian company who are now of Pentair.
I cant source any real information and that's becoming frustrating.
A tear down video would be nice, but maybe it's a little obscure for that.
a blow up diagram with part numbers would be nice but alas.
I have contacted Pentair and await a reply from them.

We have one remote user based in Brazil who requires a new laptop.
Our regular supplier (Softcat) do not have any distribution in that location.
When looking at the Brazilian HP site it refers to CPF/CNPJ
The remote user doesn't want us to use their CPF as they feel it will have an impact on their tax.
We do not have a CNPJ as we do not have any registered offices in Brazil.
Our closest location to Brazil would be in the US.
Am i missing something ?

We only have to pay council tax 10 months of the year.
So i thought having this set to auto refill would deal with the 2 months where nothing is paid.
But the category is being over funded.
Have i got it wrong ?

Driving at motorway speeds and this happens.
it has happened before where it put out a little puff of smoke but then drove normally.
tried to nurse it to the next junction but the engine eventually came to a stop.
Recovery came about 90 mins later and i explained the situation.
He was able to start the car and drive it onto the flatbed without any issues.
The car was recovered home and again started up and drove as normal.
the mechanic did a diagnostic's of the car and it didn't give up any faults.
Mechanic could not offer up any obvious issues as to him it all looked normal.
but the dash cam footage is not normal is it.
Unless someone can tell me it's an obvious thing to look for.
i will take the car and the video to the garage this week
I have one of these type of BBQ's that i purchased many years ago.
i have added a decent mains motor.
in the past when Rotisserie larger pieces of meat, i have tried (very poorly) to fashion some kind of cover out of tinfoil in an attempt to retain some heat and create a type of oven.
i do like the BBQ and have no desire to replace it ( i also have a gas hot plate for burgers etc)
Any suggestions or directions to a DIY or off the shelf lid solution?
would the lid need to provide 100% cover ?
i think it would only be used when cooking on the middle horizontal spit
the small spits cook too quickly to need a cover.

I was fortunate to find one of these keys without knowing what it was.
My char is doing ok P169 T7, but still lacking a few important parts.
I have read that you can take the protection pilon and wait to become overwhelmed.
but with no way to remove my minions am i just asking for trouble.
im not ready to murder my char just yet.
