I recently moved to town and I have 4c hair. I am looking for a place to get a haircut. I need just the sides of my head cut as I have locs and the vast majority of my head will be left untouched. Looking around all the barbershops are like 40+ dollars and that seems a bit unreasonable to me. Does anyone have any recommendations for a shop with decent pricing for side fades? Ideally around 30 or under?

Today I noticed there was a new flock camera installed at the intersection of Main Street and Florence street. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to grab a picture of it during my commute. Has anyone else seen it? Why did they install this? How do we protest it? I hope the city does not continue with the installation of more.

I recently had to learn how to maintain my own dreadlocks because my sole loctition decided to move across the world 😒.

Anyways I tried retwisting my hair via the palm roll method with just my hands and gel and not even a week later my locks were already unraveling. Ik that ragtail twist is a popular method for retwisting , is that the route I should go? I really like the connivence of palm rolling so I’d like to stay with that method if possible.

Does anyone have any recommendations for getting more tension, or how to make the twists hold longer?
