That got me thinking... what if one browser tab could contain all my media tabs? So I built LumeTab. It turns a single browser tab into a multimedia browser with its own tab bar.

The idea is simple:

• Keep all your multimedia platforms inside a single browser tab.
• Make your browser cleaner and easier to navigate.
• In my tests, it also uses less memory than keeping lots of multimedia tabs open at the same time.

I'm also planning features like synchronized watching with friends and shared multimedia workspaces.

(For those interested in the tech stack, it's built with SvelteKit, Tailwind CSS, Better-Auth, and Drizzle ORM).

The project is still in beta, and I'm looking for honest feedback before taking it further.

Je cherche des bêta-testeurs pour mon projet.

Si vous aussi, vous avez tendance à garder beaucoup trop d’onglets ouverts de peur d’oublier quelque chose en les fermant, vous avez probablement déjà rencontré ce problème.

Au fil du temps, le navigateur se retrouve rapidement encombré par de nombreux onglets, qui peuvent également consommer une quantité importante de mémoire.

C’est à partir de ce constat que j’ai développé LumeTab.

L’idée est simple : transformer un seul onglet du navigateur en un espace multimédia complet, avec sa propre barre d’onglets.

L’objectif est de :

• Regrouper différentes plateformes multimédias dans un seul onglet.
• Garder un navigateur plus propre et plus facile à utiliser.
• Réduire l’utilisation de la mémoire par rapport à l’ouverture simultanée de nombreux onglets multimédias.

Je travaille également sur de futures fonctionnalités, notamment le visionnage synchronisé avec des amis et la création d’espaces de travail multimédias partagés.
