Going to the gym alone is one of the biggest reasons people quit. No accountability, no motivation, no fun.

I built Trainioapp to fix that.

It matches you with gym buddies nearby, swipe, connect, and book sessions together in just a few taps. Think of it like Tinder but for finding workout partners.

The problem it solves:

  1. Gym goers lack accountability partners

  2. Hard to find people with similar schedules and goals nearby

  3. Working out with someone is proven to improve consistency

What it does

1.Match with gym buddies near you

  1. Book sessions together

3.Find personal trainers nearby

Built natively for iOS with a 7 day free trial. Android is in the works.

Am I the only one who genuinely can’t handle the taste of pickles and olives?

Every time I try them I want to believe this is the time I’ll finally get it. Adults love them. They’re on every charcuterie board. They show up on every burger I order. And every single time, one bite in, I’m reminded that no, I still hate them.

The vinegary punch of a pickle, the weird salty bitterness of an olive my brain just refuses. Meanwhile half my friends will sit there eating them straight out of the jar like it’s candy.

Anyone else? Or am I going to have to admit defeat and accept that my palate is broken.

TIFU on a first date by blaming the chair for a noise that was definitely me

Happened a few days ago and I’m still cringing thinking about it.

Matched with a girl on an app and we finally met up for coffee. First date, both a bit nervous but the conversation was flowing really well. Lots of laughs, good eye contact, the whole vibe. I genuinely thought it was going somewhere.

About 30 minutes in, my stomach started gurgling. I’d had a heavy breakfast and apparently my body decided right then was the time. I tried to shift my weight and release the pressure silently. It was not silent. It was audible enough that there was zero ambiguity about where it came from.

In a complete panic, I shifted in my seat and said ugh, this chair is so creaky. Didn’t even look at her when I said it. Just stared at my coffee like nothing had happened.
She didn’t react. Didn’t laugh, didn’t call me out, didn’t even pause. Just kept the conversation going like nothing happened. We talked for another 30 minutes and the date ended normally.

The worst part we actually went on a second date last week. Still hasn’t been mentioned. I have no idea if she genuinely didn’t notice, was too polite to say something, or is saving this story to use against me one day.
I will never trust a wooden chair again.

TL;DR: Let one rip on a first date at a coffee shop, panicked and blamed the noise on the chair being creaky. She never reacted. We’ve been on two dates since and neither of us has acknowledged it.

The gym fixed my mental health more than anything else I tried

M/24

I tried self-help, journaling, motivation videos. Nothing really moved the needle.

What actually worked was going to the gym consistently. Not for how I looked the mental side hit way before any physical change. After a few weeks I was less anxious, slept better, and small things stopped feeling huge.

Lifting weights is basically free therapy. If your mental health has been rough and you’ve tried everything except moving your body try that.

If you've been going to the gym for months with no results, the problem is almost certainly in the kitchen, not the workout.

I was skinny for years and couldn't figure out why the gym wasn't working. Turns out I was barely eating enough to function, let alone build muscle.

What actually changed things wasn't a new program or more reps it was meal prepping. Having food ready meant I was consistently hitting my calories instead of just forgetting to eat or grabbing whatever was around.

Your body can't build what you're not feeding it. Sort the food first, then the gym will actually do something.

Finding someone to train with or a decent personal trainer is genuinely harder than it should be. Most people just ask around or rely on luck.

Built an app to fix this matches you with trainers and gym buddies based on your goals and location. Just launched on iOS.

Curious what's your biggest struggle when it comes to finding someone to train with?
