In a far away swamp full of corrupt politicians, one heroically corrupt politician rises atop a swampy tidal wave to save our nonaddictive plant medicine

Is losing money on the stock market still considered hardwork
It is my understanding that rich people are rich because they worked hard to get where they are at, and in a meritocratic system like capitalism, taxing them more would make them less likely to perform such laborious tasks like speculating on businesses that are not yet profitable. In the event that my speculative investing falls flat and I do not get a return on my investment: is the reason for this that I did not speculate hard enough? Or did I just work so hard that it overwhelmed the stock market
