Any way to stick heavy magnets onto a non-magnetic fridge?

I recently moved into an apartment and the fridge is non magnetic 😭 I have soooo many fridge magnets, but I have no idea how to put them on the fridge now. I tried using double sided tape, which works for the lighter plastic magnets, but the heavier ones keep falling off.

Is there any other way I can display my magnets on a non magnetic fridge?

How do I get my L10s Ultra Gen 2 over a bathroom threshold?

I just got the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2. How can I get it to go over the ledge into the bathroom? I Googled it and saw people mentioning a “Virtual Ramp” option in the app, but I can’t find it anywhere. Am I missing something?

Steam Escaping After Timer Started?

Hi! I have the 3.8L Instant Pot Rio Mini. As soon as it came to pressure and the timer started, I noticed a little steam coming out, so I panicked and pressed cancel. I didn’t manually release the pressure, but after about 20 minutes the float valve dropped on its own. Is it safe to open the lid now? Also, is a little steam normal once the timer starts?

Has anyone put their Litter-Robot in a bathroom? (Rental-friendly solutions?)

I want to move my Litter Robot into my bathroom but it doesn’t have a socket and I’m renting so I don’t think I can install one. The bathroom has an extractor fan but no window. Has anyone used an extension lead for this setup, or found another renter friendly solution?

Looking for Sofa Cover Recommendations

Hi everyone! I’m moving out with my husband and two cats in a pet friendly apartment and I’m wondering how other cat owners manage it.

What do you do to protect your sofa from cats? I’m not really worried about them scratching it—they don’t usually scratch sofas. My main concern is their claws accidentally getting caught in the fabric, which could pull threads or damage the upholstery.

I keep their nails trimmed, but I’d rather not take the risk. I was thinking about getting a sofa cover for my three-seater. What type of cover and fabric would you recommend? I don’t want to get a fitted cover since it won’t look neat. I’ll also upload a photo of the sofa so you can suggest something that would work well.

Need cookware recommendations (avoiding non-stick)

I’m moving into a new apartment and need to buy cookware from scratch. It’s just me and my husband so I don’t need a huge set.

I’m looking for:

  • 2–3 saucepans (different sizes)
  • 2 frying pans
  • 1 sauté pan for one-pot meals
  • 1 shallow/wide pan for soups, curries, rice, etc.

I have an Instant Pot, so I don’t need anything for that. I’d like to avoid non stick and don’t want anything too expensive.

Which material would you recommend — stainless steel, cast iron, carbon steel, enamelled cast iron, or something else? What cookware setup would you choose if starting from scratch?

Sheer curtains/blinds in a rental apartment without drilling?

Hi everyone, I’m looking to add some sheer curtains to my bedroom window for a bit more privacy and a softer look but I’m renting so I can’t drill holes into the walls.

Has anyone found a good no drill solution that actually works? I’ve seen tension rods, adhesive hooks, magnetic curtain rods, etc., but I’m not sure what’s best (especially if the window already has blinds).

Would love to hear what you’ve used and whether it damaged the walls/windows when removed. Thanks!

No ceiling light connection in my rental apartment — any alternatives for a ceiling lamp?

I’m renting an apartment and the living room doesn’t have a ceiling light connection/wiring. I really love the look of ceiling lamps and would like to have one but I don’t think I can install a permanent fixture as a renter.

Are there any renter friendly alternatives that can give the same ceiling lamp look? I’d love to hear what worked for you!

What’s the best way to make an apartment smell good with two cats?

Cat owners: what’s your secret to having an apartment that always smells amazing?

I’m renting my first apartment and have two cats. I’m looking for something stronger than a typical air freshener, but still safe around cats.

EDIT: Just to clarify, the litter box isn’t the issue. I have a robot litter box that’s cleaned regularly, and there’s no noticeable litter smell. My cats are healthy and on a good diet as well.

I’m not trying to solve an odor problem. I was simply looking for recommendations on things people use to make their apartments smell especially nice (diffusers, candles, room sprays, scent machines etc.), not advice on basic cat care lol 😅

How do you live with two cats in a pet-friendly apartment without ruining your furniture?

Hi everyone! I’m thinking about moving out with my husband and two cats in a pet friendly apartment and I’m wondering how other cat owners manage it.

What do you do to protect your furniture from scratching? Do you use couch covers, throws, specific fabrics, scratch guards, or anything else that actually works?

Also, what other things should I prepare for when having two cats in an apartment (litter boxes, smells, keeping the place clean, cat-proofing, etc.)?

I’d love to hear any tips, products, or things you wish you knew before getting cats in an apartment. Thanks!

Beginner Etsy seller — are Etsy Ads worth it for handmade products?

Hi everyone! I’m completely new to Etsy and I have opened my shop selling handmade clay keychains.

I’m wondering if Etsy Ads are worth using when you’re just starting out or if it’s better to wait until you get some organic traffic first?

For those who sell handmade items:

  • Did Etsy Ads help you get your first sales?
  • How much did you spend per day when starting out?
  • Should I advertise my best listing right away or wait until I have more products?
  • Any beginner mistakes I should avoid?

Would really appreciate any advice from experienced sellers. Thank you! :)
