Omnium's 15x100 fork with 12x100 Hubs - Conversion Kit

I'm about to build a new Omnium Mini Max and i want to use a Chris King R45D front hub for my front wheel (for a full chris king matt jade color matching build). Problem is it only comes in 12x100 and the Ominum's forks are 15x100.

I found this conversion kit online and i'm wondering if this is a viable solution:
https://jjpne.com/omnium-mini-max-15x100-fork-conversion-kit/

Also, i remember seeing a post on instagram where someone used this for the same reason:
https://www.stridsland.com/shop/15mm-12mm-axle-adapter/
But i can't tell if it worked straight out of the box or there was some modifications involved.

Anyone with experience with these? or perhaps any other suggestions?

Carbon chainstay damage check

When i first set up this gravel frame at a bad local bike shop 6 months ago, they made an error when first installing SRAM Transmission which caused my chain to get caught wedged between the last cog and chainstay and rubbed the frame aggressively. I got it sorted, but then found out about the frame damage. It seems like a surface/ paint damage and didn’t seem too bad in person to the naked eye. No impact/ crash. Another local bike shop had a quick look and told me it was fine, so i’ve been riding it the last 6 months on rough gravel and even under biking mountain bike trails with no issues. Coin tap test seems fine.

Today as i was doing a full service on my bike on my
own, i took a closer look and it suddenly looks a lot worse when shining a light at different angles at least in photos. Have i just been lucky all this time and i should repair this or something? Or is it perfectly fine and i’m suddenly worried for no reason? Bike is rated for XC safety and durability standards if that makes a difference. Thanks

Stem setup

I originally cut my steerer tube 3mm below the stem for a flush top cap. I have a 10mm ACR spacer below the Ritchey Switch/ACR stem adapter. I plan to remove the spacer and slam the stem, and put 8mm total round spacers on top.

Questions:

  1. Is it fine for me to run the 8mm spacers above? (2mm gap for topcap preload) Considering i’m using a cane creek ancora plug which is clearly long enough to still cover both stem bolt clamp areas even with the stem lowered, is that the only main issue to be addressed?

  2. only just found out it seems to be a good practice to actually let the steerer tube stick out a little and put a 3-5mm spacer on top so that the stem has a full clamp on the steerer instead of leaving a little gap on the top which I originally did- which makes sense. Considering i ride a lot of gravel and under bike a lot on mountain bike trails, is it a better idea long term to actually put a 3-5mm spacer on top or even this current 8mm set up? Or is it fine with the flush top cap?
