Why do people (especially men) get more offended at neurodivergent women compared to neurodivergent men?

I just realised something. I’ve noticed from my own personal observations and experiences, people seem to get far more offended at women displaying neurodivergent traits compared to men displaying neurodivergent traits.

I have a bunch of thoughts in my head to explain this phenomenon (misogyny, double standards, bullshit societal expectations placed on women such as needing to be ‘nice’ and ‘bubbly’, men in general just being babied) but I can’t seem to find a simple, concrete explanation as to why this keeps occurring.

I’m aware this could just be me babbling and there’s probably some of you that haven’t experienced this and don’t know wtf I’m talking about, but I’m positive some of you out here will understand what I’m saying lol so I’m curious to see what you have to say.

Any fans 25+ here?

I discovered fakemink a couple of months ago and I really like his music. I also think he’s really cute… until I found out he was like 21 (I thought he would at least be 23/24) and now I feel like a cougar 😭💀

I just turned 27 this year and I feel a little weird this guy is a whole 6 years younger than me lol. His music is great though and I’m excited to see how his career progresses bc I think he has a lot of potential to be a great artist.

But yeah… I’m wondering if there’s any fans of his that are 25+ here bc it feels like his fanbase main demographic seems to be his age or younger so I’m wondering if there’s a minority here that are older lmao.

Job applications asking for linkedin profile as a mandatory requirement… WHY?

I am so fucking annoyed rn. Why have I wasted my time filling out an application, writing a cover letter, tailoring my CV to the role, just for them to ask for a fucking linkedin THAT I DONT HAVE AT THE END OF THE APPLICATION????

I don’t want to make a linkedin profile bc I’ve spent 27 years avoiding using my full government name on all socials (bar facebook but i deleted that years ago) and I really don’t think I should be forced to essentially make a public CV that I don’t want to bc I respect my privacy ????

Sorry for the rant I’m just frustrated and easily irritated today.

Is anyone else here struggling to watch films without picking up their phone?

I thought I’d watch The Matrix for the first time ever (I was born the year it was released lol) this evening but I’ve been struggling to watch it without picking up my phone 😭.

I’ve always put off watching it because I saw it was like 2 hours long and it’s not really my fav genre, but I do find some of it interesting so far (I’ve currently paused it) but due to my poor attention span, I seem to miss some details and have had to rewind a little at some scenes.

As a teenager, I had no problem watching a film and rarely picked up my phone while watching. However, nowadays I’m really struggling and it sucks because I used to love watching random films but life happened and I lost interest in them by the time I was in my early 20s. Now at 27 I’m trying to get back into them but it’s so hard when I can barely concentrate :(

I wish YT shorts didn’t fucking exist.

Remember the golden days of YouTube, like more than 10 years ago, when creators actually had to put in EFFORT to ensure they garner views and generate income from it? And most content was therefore ORIGINAL and there were plenty of niches out there because everyone EMBRACED INDIVIDUALITY???????

Nowadays with this stupid shorts bullshit I feel like I have watched the same “video” 500 fucking times. All I wanted was to watch maybe 1 or 2 videos about lip liners and see if I wanted any or if there’s any brands out there I haven’t heard of or if there’s cheap dupes out there….. but no. I have to watch multiple different fucking “shorts” and most of them are just using the same shit anyway because everyone just follows trends these days.

Seriously wtf was the point of me deleting tiktok if youtube was just going to copy them????

I HATE IT HEREEEEEEE

Applying for jobs in 2026 is a humiliation ritual but a necessary evil to become ‘better’

Currently a year unemployed since graduating from university last July. Have only managed to secure 2 interviews since and of course all my other applications being rejected straight out or just ghosted lol.

I’ve been consistently applying but I admit I hit a slump in June and was not applying as much as I should have been since everything just got to me.

I managed to apply for 10 jobs before 8am today and just applied to 5 more this evening, so 15 total for today. It would’ve been more but I had to close some of the applications mid way bc one asked for a drivers license which I don’t have (and they didnt state this in the job description), another was asking for two references that I don’t have, and others were asking some other nonsense.

I know I have to continue my streak of applying consistently now but I am already diagnosed with GAD and depression and I am still on a very long waiting list to get diagnosed for ADHD, and I am still living with my abusive parents so things are just really hard at the moment but I don’t want to give up. I guess I’m just writing all of this to clear my head.

Thank you if you managed to read this far on my post lol

Did any of you used to stare out the window in primary school?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been on a waiting list to get tested for ADHD since January last year via NHS. I still have a few more years to go until I get an appointment (🥲) but I’m very sure I have this condition upon reflection of my life so far, as well as numerous GPs and counsellors also telling me they suspect me having it, and whom have encouraged me to get on the waiting list in the first place.

Of course staring out a window is not the only thing in my life that has led me here but it’s one of many things I can remember about myself growing up. I’m in my late 20s rn for reference.

But yeah as the title asks, did anyone else experience this?

I’m scared digital consumption for nearly my whole life as a 27yo woman has ruined my life

I deleted all my accounts but i still ended up going on them via third party sites and i cant seem to stop. I have been using them as a distraction from living in an abusive home. I’m unemployed and only graduated uni last year and I feel so fucking hopeless rn. I don’t know where to even start

Stuck in an abusive house unemployed as a 2025 uni grad

What the title says basically. I feel so lost right now and I’m really struggling. I have only had 2 interviews since last year, one of them being my dream job that I got brutally rejected for and I feel so hopeless. I just want to die

Body hair

Hi fellow brown girlies!

I have a question regarding body hair. How often are you all removing body hair (like legs, arms, stomach, back etc) and do you shave or wax? Or laser / electrolysis?

I feel like I grow so much hair than what is considered “normal” for a woman and I feel like every other brown girl doesn’t even grow as much body hair as I do :(

I don’t have PCOS or any other hormonal issues so it makes me super self conscious and I guess I’m just seeking some kind of clarity or reassurance here about body hair as a brown girl.
